I gave up on this thread long ago, but to some extent. I hope you even read what the thread is about, I don't want to chain to 77. I want a map drop of 1level up, but heres the rage, 20 69's 1 70, 1 71 and not a single map equivalent or up. Not many can share this experience simply because you haven't reached the level of the game where it's important to get the higher end maps. Of course it shouldn't be easy, but look at the #s i posted, i haven' even gone into the # of chaos + chisels spent and this is on a budget of 10day old economy.
Secondly, please don't question my wealth. Let me know if you can accumulate the currency + gear within the period of time I have. Don't call me a no life, 24/7 gamer too. It's about the economy.
Regardless, the amount of maps I did hoping for even a couple 1 up maps didn't happen, equivs didn't either. If you guys feel that replaying the entire content again is fun then please understand not everyones the same. I reach for the top, not the average. For those who constantly say roll better maps, try playing in new league @ level 82 still doing lunaris 3 making 2-3% a run.
Don't mix up anarchy and standard or whatever league, it's different. Nobody cares about standard, its a dump of items from hardcore + the high flooding player base itself. It makes everything cheaper and more supply of it too, if you don't have a 6link after playing for 2months I suggest learning to make money.
The map system is the exact same. It's not different than standard. You haven't done anything special to be acting as such. Anarchy is the exact same. A couple rogues and some different uniques doesn't make it any different. I don't play default leagues anymore, but at least I understand there's no difference.

And what better time to give feedback that the map design is flawed, than in beta.
Rather than letting it go live.
Great then, people can give feedback and provide suggestions for how to improve the system.
When people say, "This system sucks, I quit, gimme my money back plz." That solves absolutely nothing.
99% of the "feedback" people give on this forum is just whining.
Here's a bizarre idea.
Instead of high lvl maps being gated by severe RNG and requiring a shit ton of crafting mats to even access, the amount of which will never drop from content, and then those maps don't return crafting mats anywhere near the investment.
How about, don't gate the content behind RNG, don't require crafting mats to access and actually have them reward crafting mats.
The difficulty of the content itself being the soft gate.
Mad, huh?
Casually casual.

Such a huge thread and the answer is so simple...
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

The economy is different (as in, fresh). I think that's his point.

Soooo, pointing out the obvious fact that 99% of General Discussion is complaint threads instead of positive feedback threads and why that is bad makes me mad...Funny though, that people think being mad is some sort of insult though.
Your post definitely had a far more aggressive tone than did mine.
You started out well, stating the flaws in the system, but you failed to provide any alternatives. This is a good start, and I don't expect every Beta Tester to be able to provide feedback with ever flawed part of the system, we aren't Game Designers by any means.

do you realize what would happen though ?
in less than 30 days the 'power players' will get all tons of high level maps. afterwards, there will be no content for them besides finishing up to 100. then the SAME players will complain there is nothing to do but grind those last few levels of xp.
the endgame content is artificially bound/gated, true. it is the only reason high level maps are still endgame content in default and hardcore leagues.
otherwise, you end up with d3's paragon leveling and no real content. I'm sure this is the real reason GGG has not improved the mapping system yet. Mapping system and ladder resets are the only feasible things that keep people whove played the game for a while and know it all still in the game.

Do you see the situation where...
A handful of 'power players' are complaining about no content and the rest of the population are doing content.
Worse than...
A handful of 'power players' are doing content and the rest of the population are complaining about no access to that content.
?
Serious question.

Guys, guys, the easy solution is just to get kripp to make a video expounding the evils of the map dropping system.
Yeah, sorry. I couldn't resist. It's been 12 pages and no mention of him. I'm ruining someones pool.
Here is a nice economics lesson. This game is free. There is no in game advertising or product placement. It's not made by a company that has a bunch of hits and can afford to do that. If you want changes, consider donating rather than making rage threads. I'd love to see the map system improved, but if I made a game like this, and all day long all I read is threads from people who play it for free raging about it, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't feel the need to rush out a fix to their problem when it only affects the top 5% or so of players.
