Saying "Scrubcore" is offensive and should be banable/mutable.

When I died at level 85 on my 3rd character, I decided to stay on softcore and go full casual and the experience has been quite different. People are not afraid to try out many builds, I leveled a wander which has very low life but dam its fun, I don't spend hours or days farming content 10 levels below me cause honestly I don't give a rats in the lower levels. Game has been very enjoyable.

I'm agreeing with you for probably the first ever.

It's fun to enter areas 7-10 levels above your own, rather than the reciprocal.
It's fun to try wacky builds that are considered "weak" by those that don't understand the motivation to play them in the first place.

I used to play hardcore in D2/M08/MXL, but only for offline play. The infrastructure in my town is just too old and terrible (and my house is about 110 years old, and most of the wiring about the same).
Nah, let the 'elite' have their fun.

In games I'm good at, I call a LOT of people scrubs. Path of Exile isn't one of them; i'm not that good, I don't play all that much, and I play standard because of it - hence, I am a scrub at PoE.

If you dish it out, you gotta be able to take it as well.

Besides, as others have said, default is where the shenanigans happens.

So would bumfights. That doesn't justify it.

One is the exploitation of people in desperate circumstances, the other is petty bickering over name calling.
Were you really comparing me to someone who gets a kick out of bumfights?
Yes. But not just you.

Is this community mostly bums? No. Is it mostly people who give bumfights a shitload of views? Yes. Now just replace "bum" with "troll."
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I love my build, but it would never work in HC. Its damage is fairly average, it requires the blood magic passive, so no auras.

It also has only average life and deals pure random elemental damage with no chance to crit.

Ele hit + EE is fun but would never work because ele reflect melts me and bosses are just slow to kill. But, its fun, and its my build!
And if you close your eyes, does it feel like your exalt almost hit this time~
I feel offended by "Default" league and now they renamed it to "standard" and I feel even more offended. Just saying.

Btw grow up. If you feel offended thats your fault but more important there is a reason for it. And thats well...
Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1
Im not gonna make an excuse i just dont want to lose my stuff by playing hard core so i stick with regular play if that makes me scrub so be it dont care but when i die and everyone eventualy will i just try a different startegy in that area not start over so nananaboboo stick your head in dodoo
if you are so sticked to your loot stay in Softcore. If you can not let this go no one blames you. Just want to say - its a game. I understand this attitude in RL but in a game, who cares its nothing real. So I am always wondering about this item whores (thats how I call them in general. dont get offended)

The funny part it, I have used the term "AltF4Core" several times on both the forums and in game, and MAN--the same people who use the term "scrubcore" often get bent out of shape over it. ;)

Of course, someone will likely reply to my post and tell me how they play AltF4Core and don't give a shit. They might even be telling the truth. Doesn't change the fact that a lot of AltF4Core players who have no compunctions about using "scrubcore" have rather thin skins themselves.

Not only is it an insult to players who prefer a certain play style, but it ruins the feel and look of the community. It is a word used by people with an elitist and unfriendly attitude and promotes hatred.

I personally find it offensive when people reference NORMAL mode as "Scrubcore" and sometimes even when it's called "softcore", because neither of these are actually what it's called. I think that along with all other personal insults, saying "scrubcore" to reference normal mode should be banable or mutable if reported by someone who is genuinely offended by it.

I don't really care if anyone else agrees, because either way the fact is it's offensive and ruins the atmosphere of the community.

I can't remember if I reported the last person who I saw using this term but I feel it should not go unpunished.
