Better person no, better player yes by logic, one who can reach high levels without dying is more skilled than the scrub that keeps getting headbutted by rhoas, and therefore a better player. Granted no one has reached 100 yet, the time will come and it will be with 0 deaths clearly.

No offence but whats the skill in hitting Alt-F4 as quickly as possible? Hardcore? Honestly I dont know whats more of a scrub in any gaming genre than a person that Alt-F4s to avoid death in an ARPG. Shameful.

what you did in this thread was show you're offended, thereby attracting the "troll elite" - including one called "undon3sucks" who is an ancient Open Beta basement-dweller. already banned once (for repeatedly offending a great guy in this community named "Undon3") and likely banned again in the very near future.

I disagree, it isn't and shouldn't be about developing thicker skin because some people feel entitled to being dicks online.

There's only one direction for a toxic community to go, and I know I don't post here as much as I'd like to simply because of the sheer stupidity of a large number of posters here. Damned shame too, because some members of this community are amazing people.

I also only play Scrubcore. I know I could make an HC character, copy a popular build, and grab all the life nodes in existence, die and then complain about desynch too if I wanted.

That not why I play though. I play until I get gear to play a new build. Roll that character rinse and then repeat. I'm done playing a character when I want to play a new one, not when I "omg desynch died to Vaal"

I did resent the fact that I had to play in horrible-economycore just to play this way, but them's the breaks. Now that Anarchy (and the 4 month league system in general) is out, I don't think I'm heading back to Standard unless I reeeeally like a character.

That aside, I wouldn't (don't) sweat the scrubcore stuff. Even my friends and 1 who only played Standard opted to call it Scrubcore, way before Anarchy even came out. It's just a word.

Thats fine but I am of the mindset that anyone who ALt-F4s to avoid dying is the biggest scrub I have seen in any game. If I see anyone like that, for me, that is pretty much the lowest most pathetic gamer there is. Tries to play hardcore but then runs when he is about to die? LOL what a goof.

Thicker skin? Why? Just ignore those "you play on scrubcore, im on HC, im a better player and all in all a better human being, im boot youre ant" folks, if i would be offended by some random guy on internet who is "insulting" me i would need to hang myself probably :D Just play the way you have fun, thats why the game is for. And i think those SC haters dont realise that you still dont want to die on Standard with 80+ chars, theres really no difference at higher levels, no one wants to loose days of XP. Another thing is - not everyone has a PC or ISP that allows you comfortable play on HC, i for ex. have a ISP that changes my IP 2 times a day, and died a couple of times because of that already. PC that doesnt allow you to play comfortable in parties, freezing etc. Well, as ive said, just play the way you have fun, if you play a game and not have fun and the gameplay is frustrating and annoying i dont really see the point of playing it, there are other games too :) Cheers.
