Unfair death @ 2w HC event

Clarification is all that is needed.
WHen a flask says it will recover 900hp in 10 seconds then I expect the flask to work on me for 10 seconds regenerating 90 hp per second EVEN if I am at max hp. I haven't checked as I rarely use flasks. I would think that mana potions would work the same way. How much mana does the flask return? 1000? 100? 10? Your flask states: removes 15% from your mana recovered from life when used. The three above values would return 150/15/1.5 That is equal to 150/15/1.5 hp. You only have 1hp. You die. The last couple of words I underlined negated me having to ask if the flask was instant or a heal over time. You used it, hence you will take a (15% mana recovered)number smash to your 1 and only hp. The only point of contention I see is having flasks operating in towns when you can't use skills/spells in towns. |

But you're drinking a potion. Whether or not that potion has an effect on you is irrelevant.
If I have 100/100 hp and i drink a potion to restore 50hp, my toon still drank that potion. Whether or not the potion did anything doesn't matter. If you click it. It happens. You told you're toon to do it. I do agree with potions not being allowed in town though. That's fine. |

" Because this doesn't make the game hard? People in this thread have all stated that it is easy to avoid. If you think something like this makes the game hard... Well I don't know what to say. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIa-YRi5zQU

I have CI and never died because of a flask or because I've tried blood magic. But this is because i've read about it before.
I think that if the game could check stuff like this and it simply won't let you enter a blood magic map, won't let you equip a caustic flask or add a blood magic gem is not making the game simpler is simply helping new player understand the mechanics of the game by playing instead of by dying and not understanding what happen. You try to equip this flask, but have CI message (Since you have CI that flask will kill you if used), or you try to get Pain Attunement (With CI you always have 100% of your so this passive is useless to you). It's not making the game simpler, the game is still the same. It simply become more user-friendly, it help people understand how things work by playing and not reading forums and is far less frustrating. |

I'm siding with the OP on this.
Sure, it's funny when it happens to someone else... but there's no good reason that the game should allow you to one-shot yourself. |

Seeing the thread was taken away ill go again with op and say: I did the same thing, i didnt die, at least me i was full mana aat the forest encampment and clicked to see what happens, nothing happened and so happy took an alteration and rerolled the flask :)
@the last posts: the thing isnt about how easy or how pro or how arrogant u are or u are not the thing is if u care enough to the game to pay attention to these little things, i had a ranger on merciless with 1k hp and blood magic and i killed myself lots of times, its just knowing when to stop and srsly read the descriptions carefully it was fun to see 3 ppl with BM dying one after the other for the sake of it D: to the ones that are going to say "oh he thnks he is a pro" no im not i suck at most ability games and im not a pro here, if u want to be hardcore and do dificult things go ironman or go BM+CI or something like that :D |
