15% out of 1hp. thats bad mechanic right there wtf is that?

Im not suppose to die. 1hp is my 100% hp.

You still don't get it. 15% of the mana recovered is removed from your life, NOT 15% of your life. So say you recover 500 mana, 15% of that is 75, which is what is removed from your life. 75 > 1 = you die.

You simply didn't understand the mechanic. There is nothing to fix.

WELL if there is no mana to be recovered??? what happens then? Beacuse I had full mana in Forest Encampment and DIED!

Dont make the dumb mistake of doing it next time.
You died because you messed up, not the game.

The amount of mana you have is irrelevant. If the mana flask recovers 500 mana, you are going to lose 75 life each time you click it regardless of whether you are at full mana or not. Just like EVERY OTHER flask effect is used whether or not you are at full mana.

The mana recovery from flasks works even if you already have full mana, so you also use up the HP from that effect.

From my experience life flasks differ in that regard because they stop regenerating life once you hit full HP, would be interesting to know if mana is removed when you use a lifeflask with this effecct on full life.

It is unfortunate. Honestly, that flask would be exploitable if it didn't kill you. What should the dev team do about it? Maybe the flask should fail if it can't remove requisite health?

I kinda suspect that you didn't use it by accident, but misunderstood the text and thought you found a loophole.

Someday there will be a better knowledge base for how certain elements of the game interact, and these things won't happen much anymore.

While I agree that this is death caused by a game mechanic, it's actually a mechanic that we've been discussing changing. The flask may fail in the future if there's not enough life.

Are you also going to make it so that people can't cast blood magic spells if their health is too low? Maybe make it so that mobs that would kill you in the next hit instead pause to consider their actions also? When's the carebear pet patch coming?

The flask would probably still lose charges, I suspect.

Also, no need for the sarcasm and hyperbole. It makes it sound like you can't discern any different between significant and insignificant design choices.
The carebear pet patch. Nice.

This was discused before. Do a search please OP before posting.

A similar vein is using a bloodmagic support gem and the haste skill gem. Try that too in HC :)

POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

Probably just after the My Little Pony one.

Personally I liked Gummi Bears more than Carebears. Bouncing everywhere on a magic potion would have been awesome.

@OP: Sorry. I can't call that 'unfair' -- it's all written there for you to read. Could be worded better. And yes, I also wouldn't be surprised if you were trying to be a bit clever by playing the math -- 15% of 1 should not round down, after all.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Hello,

I have been playing the 2 week HC race event and I died by a bad mechanic that I hope will be fixed.

I was lvl 41 Witch Summoner using Chaos innocation(CI) and accidently used a flask that transfers hp to mana.

So what happen was that I died with full Energy shield by using this flask.

That's unfair to be able to die by a flask.

It's perfectly fair. Read the damn flask description.
