Does anybody else see the glaring contradiction in those two statements?

I fail to see how this community has great social aspects. When somebody suggests a change or provides their feedback on a game, which might I add is in BETA and is asking for feedback, they get flamed by masses of elitists and hardcore players who call them casual carebears.

We also have people who scam, cheat, kill, etc each other in-game, though I have to admit this happens in every game. Still, your idea of a great community is very very different from mine, it seems.

Communitys already exist, they are not hard to find.. Thats my point smart guy. Learn how to read in context before posting. I said "Screw your sense of community ANGLE"

Saying that FFA loot needs to be removed because it hurts the community is a crock of shit, since communitys already exist. Thats called an angle. Angles are used to spin things.

My logic is simple. Games with strong communities and solid social aspects keep more players, and for longer. That means GGG make more cash. That means they employ more people. That means we get more content, bugfixes and server stability, more often. Dead simple.

Because it is a fact that a more casual player who hates FFA loot, and feels forced to solo because of it, will quit this game earlier than he would have if there had been an instanced loot option. The game, like most things, is more fun if you do it with others.

Now, who on the other hand would leave if they added a instanced loot option? You? I don't believe you. No one, imo. The fanboys are so obsessed you are here to stay no matter what GGG do. (and good for them, I'm not knocking it one bit, this is a great game).
Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.

The community is harmed by the loot system. PoE groups are the quietest online groups I have played in. No-one takes the time to talk because they run a high risk of losing loot.

Talk about spin, huh? What do you call the fact that you just stated that I (or anyone) think FFA loot needs to be removed? No one ever said that. We are campaigning for nothing to be removed, and more options to be added. Even I like playing with FFA loot occasionally.

I play Pubs all the time and always run into people who talk.

The extra options things just feels...Uneeded.

This game is meant to be an exiled criminal trying to make it on some island.

Loot options just feels wack.


We already have all the real options.

Play alone, make friends or deal with the public freak show.


Its that feelin' that makes the game feel better. I can totally see how GGG intended the game to be that way. I really wish people like you could see that and enjoy it as is.


Also, people complaining about loot are NOT the majority. This thread is proof of that. Just because it has 700+ pages its not filled with 700+ different complaints.
