^^ lets start with the exaggerations shant we?

So why do you like the current system?
Is it the fear of losing item or the increased loot that you can gain?

It is the synergy of it all, how people's energies merge into one unit of terrible cohesion.

Would this cohesion be any less if all people would not party with you?

* Spoiler: (It doesn't matter whether they leave the game or play in their own (private) parties)

Guys i am gonna stop here for today, thanks for your time i enjoyed it a lot, but as i wrote several pages back, then i have already made the points i felt were important, and now its just garbage points from both you and me because you skipped nicely past all of my points and continued on the rampage that (you?) have been on for the last 700 pages of this thread.

You wont get me to make an obvious logical mistake so stop trying, the thing we can agree to here is to disagre, which is naturally because you understand less :D, and with that i take my leave!

Adios amigos!

Take your logical fallacies with you!

Add the current timer to solo players. Once the timer expires (solo and co-op) the item is destroyed and removed from the game. This way everyone faces the same risks and gets to enjoy the fear of losing items.

My last post was a hyperbole but my original question still stands for any pro-FFA only poster. Since they are changing the system for public parties, how do they keep the loot competition that some enjoy?

Hey, he's not making logical fallacies because he says so and we don't understand.

This is a TEXTBOOK strawman.

No, it was a thought experiment.
You imply that loot options means "selling out" and creating a game that will become boring because of that. That is the straw man.

The only way "FFA players" are affected by loot option is that they will have to face more actual competition over loot in their public games. But since you guys like that competition that is a good thing!

So in the end it seems like those who are hurt by loot options are those who enjoy FFA loot but are bad at it.

That's what it seems like to me. By the way, if options were implemented, does having a quantity penalty sound fair? To provoke people that want to loot farm to instead go for FFA instead?

Haha, this is too good to leave without a comment.

This comes from the guy who made, not an ad hominem but what would be a factual attack on me claiming im using fallacies etc.

I then asked you plain out what my fallacy was and you tell/show me that i use ad hominem attacks.

After i refute your claim, which again was not based on opinion, but factually incorrect trash talking of me, mind you, factually incorrect, you then answered you would not reply to me any more, etc etc.

You crack me up son.

You cant even stand to investigate your own incorrect statements. Its all here for others to read, come guys check this out:

seach "falling into a logical fallacy" and you will find the beginning of this for your entertainment.
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
I wonder why these most vocal pro-FFA people are either not playing this game (poestatistics shows nada) or are using alternate accounts for this discussion.

Actually I don't wonder at all.

Too bad the discussion is not moving anywhere, nor can it. People stand by unsupported arguments by various references to nonexistant data. And data is not something that is possible to have without a polling system. It is somewhat sad that the pro-FFA crowd can not answer the most basic questions that have been asked over and over for at least the last thirty pages or so and still they hold up so much noise that the casual passerby could think they actually have arguments supporting their position. I'd imagine this nonsense goes back way further than the thirty or so pages I'm familiar with.

It's also somewhat sad that GGG has made no statement whatsoever on this subject (that I've noticed) for a long time.

You do though... as well as strawmans, and I believe I saw a red herring at one point.

I really shouldn't, because you ignore just about everything I say.

Which statement was incorrect? I've given you the evidence to support my claims about loot options. I have refuted any counterargument towards loot options and all I get back is: "GGG don't listen to them because it will ruin the game."

Slippery slope isn't it?

In fact, here's a serious post of mine that once again shows you my position:

http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/392/page/780#p2115756

The difference between you and i... I will admit my mistakes if someone brings it to my attention. I would stand there and tell people my opinion is "superior" or that I am always right. Your opinion is just as valid as mine, but it seems you won't even recognize that the looting system has an issue at all.

Instead of getting caught up in this thread they are quietly working on a new system.
