they changing the system? or you hope so?

I'm a fan of the Party Options idea. Just set the group to FFA for all the lazy guys who don't care about loot, and set it to random ownership for those who can't pick up their items when 5 people are standing around it waiting for a timer. Options is the best answer.

my appologies for replying to some ones post, not to familure with POE forums.
With all my experience in gaming iv noticed that every one does like to compete and in my opinion competing over being able to afford better gear or even acquiring it threw luck and grinding is just wrong. But if it were less rewarding with a group period this would be easily avoidable, for example if the exp and rewards for being with a team were equivalent to solo having even 2-3 man teams would increase the speed of clearing an instance making the exp and rewards better pr w.e amount of time, But since the rewards are better plus your able to clear the instance faster makes the rewards even greater over w.e time and also increases the chances of survivability. (monsters health increases 50% pr person so 2 people = 1.5x the speed of a kill.) So really what I'm saying is that being with a party should either be cut-throat free-for-all due to lack of items pr person, or it should be more rewarding to take the risk of going solo for the better currency/items, which in return would avoid the " i want to party for better items and exp but cant because i suck at looting, whine whine cry cry. " But really why should it be more rewarding to take the easiest path? personally i think the looting system should be 2 seconds up close 2 seconds from a distance, giving the ones who are allowing the far-casters/rangers to take no damage at the cost of harder chances of getting loot, But still allowing a reaction time and server--computer time for everyone to see that there is an item there for grabs. But in all seriousness some one should think about why playing solo is a disadvantage in every single way other then less competition for 1/8th of the loot. ALL THE CAKE. ALL THE CAKE. ALL THE CAKE. ALL THE CAKE. ALL THE CAKE. ALL THE CAKE. ALL THE CAKE. Last edited by malms#6963 on Mar 11, 2013, 10:30:04 AM

" So I can conclude that you don't know what "loot ninja" or "entitled" means and that you don't intend to try to learn anything. Here's a question. Why do you think GGG has not come out and said "if you don't like the loot system then leave or play with friends"? |
|
" Because you said so? Right... |
|
" If thats the way you wanna play it. Yep! " The same reason why GGG does hold everyone hand and explain everything in the game in the 1st place. Maybe they figured people are smart enough to figure things out. Last edited by Vooodu#7002 on Mar 11, 2013, 10:38:13 AM

GGG i advice you not to listen to this whiners
They are the same group who cry nonstop in Diablo They will find something new to cry about, until they face up to the fact that they have to improve their own skill or the world will continue to "give" them the shortest straw in the draw. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

How about this idea on ninja looting:
Timer is set to 5 sec countdown, but is triggered ONLY when you come within lets say 20 feet of your item. So people rushing still cannot pick up your items until youre standing close to it, make sure its not something you need and move on. So if a douche bag wants to rush ahead and kill everything for you, then please.. go ahead, be my guest :) |
