Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.

Either go full free for all loot and remove the named timers. Which would pretty much kill off the whiney ninja baby threads/complaints.

Or...

Go full on instanced loot and make the game boring but alot more friendly for the casual players. Since what they can't see won't hurt them.

You should have stopped typing at "friendly".

Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.

Whatever you said stryker you cant deny he is right about one thing - masses will flock to the easiest option and they will never turn down the choice of making things more easy and mindless.

That's just the way it is.

It is up to us to resist the corrosion of game quality.

In the confusion of a 6 player group, doing nothing more than casting the odd spell and hoovering loot will maximize your profit. It will slow the group down by a tad, but you will get much more loot in the end so it's worth it.

You CAN'T hover loot.

It drops, it gets picked up and you move on. This takes barely seconds. Hell, barely a half a second. You are pretty much complaining about barely a half second.

You make it sound as if people are waiting for 10 minutes over drop drooling.

Hypothetically they add an instanced option to public parties. What could they do to keep some of the loot competition that you enjoy?

In what way does asking for BOTH loot systems to be supported ruin your fun? By arguing against the OPTION, *you* are the only one trying to ruin others' fun.

Loot options are not needed. That goes against the point of this kind of game. And people will just flock to the easiest 'option'. Also, options for lot make the game kind of cheesey.

The only thing that is truly needed is a side to be picked by GGG.

How can the point of a game that is primarily single player be to compete with loot in multiplayer? Even you must see that it makes no sense at all.

Also, the reason we have the timers is because people complained about FFA loot, so people will still complain if they are removed again.

Fine. You can the sit in the group pretending there is no survival of the fittest and that its not the better players who positions themselves right for their own and others loot, having spent their knowledge to build a character that can do exactly that.

1) First of all it is not hard to loot camp. My templar is far tankier than any build that you have. I could loot camp and steal loot all day but I find it a boring and stupid way to play the game.

I have a full Summoner witch; once everything is up, I can go through lengthy periods (a few seconds is enough) with nothing to do but hoover loot and ensure I don't die as I do so.

This game is not meant to be friendly. If you want friends you should make some. Not expect them.
