One of the main driving forces for teamplay is the fear if losing your loot.

I've heard it all now. I don't think I have ever joined a party in any game for the "fear of losing loot".
Nevertheless, the fear of losing your loot drives you forward.

The fear of losing your life drives you to live.

Shit is funny aint it, and we only scratched the surface.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I wouldn't like it if they made all loot instanced per player

What part of option do you not understand?
You'll still be playing your beloved ffa.
So don't go strawman

What part of "same rules for everyone, per league" do you not understand?

Go buy your own beloved instanced loot league when the time comes.

With the loot-timers, nobody can pick up every piece of loot at the moment it drops, so that's a moot point. Just standing around or not, it doesn't matter since everyone has time to pick up their stuff.

You say that like body blocking and poor pathing isn't an issue in this game, half of the time you click your loot and still don't get it for the above reasons.

And timers or not, people do just stand in the middle of the mobs waiting for loot to drop, which slows down the run for everyone else in the party. If you're claiming this doesn't happen I'm a little shocked.

Well, it seems to me that the "poor" pathing needs to be fixed then and not the loot model. And no, I don't notice people standing still, because I'm too busy killing and looting stuff to care.

I only solo anymore with IIR and IIQ Gear just so i dont have to deal with this system. Usually most games promote team cooperation, This one is atleast attempting too. As much as i like the Timed system, There is a large issue with body blocking and many other contributing factors. Such as Mobs. A large portion of people that play in public parties is because they are unable to complete whatever it is they are doing by themselves. So now not only do they have to prevent someone from taking their intended drop. but have to somehow make it to the loot and grab it without dying since everyone is stairing at the loot instead of fighting the hordes of mobs standing on it.

My vote would be dedicated loot system, Noone see's your drops and you dont see theirs. No timers, No ninjaing. That would openly promote teamwork again and promote others to assist others and stop a large portion of the raging.

Yet at the same time i do enjoy running my Ninja Banlist in public parties. My program is getting nice use out of preventing Ninjas from ever looting Non Ninja parties stuff. with over 5,000 Downloads its good to know theres 5000 parties out there being able to protect their party from ninjas.

What the whiners fail to realize is that there are just as many, or more, people who love the FFA loot system. Take it out, and they stand to lose just as many players or more than extending the timers.

Why would ffa lovers leave the game when the ffa play style would still be available to them as it is in its current present form, maybe even further enhanced with a timer-free option too?
Ofc they wouldnt leave.
Therefore please stop spreading FUD and false arguments.

Did you ever consider that a switchable loot option, would differentiate the way people acquire loot and with whom they play, while still being players in the same league? You should really stop acting like you're knowledgable about the consequences of such an option, because you're not.

Nice counter-arguments brah, for someone who disregards other people's arguments because he deems them invalid.

Risk/reward, I doubt you've heard of it. Man up and get some grief resistance.

all FFA loot does is put an extreme limit on the amount of viable classes in the game.

also what are leagues/races based on.. how many items you picked up? why would it matter if don't have the option to get more then just your loot in a league/race?

isn't it based on experience?
