I haven't played Diablo III in a very long time, but to say it did nothing right is a little absurd. For a start it's presented absolutely beautifully. And if those cut scenes weren't "right", I don't know what is.

As it stands now "competitive" = standing around doing nothing waiting for loot to drop so you can grab it fast while others are actually playing the game (killing mobs).

Who stands around waiting for loot to drop?

I kill and loot at the same time. Not a big deal. But, to you it is. Which you can fix by playing alone.

The only time i 'wait' is when i have to wait for the timer to expire. Which is basically a split second.

People complaining about 'WHEN' people choose to pick up loot should be playing alone. That way you can watch the loot drop and pick it up tommorrow if you feel like it.

Loot in D3 is slackmode.

One of the main driving forces for teamplay is the fear if losing your loot.

Whine all you like coz you are bad at clicking it and so feel at a disadvantage, but this is a driving force of the game, people charge ahead.

If people cant see loot while others timer are up, less time will be spent for these nabcakes to try and steal others loot standing still waiting for their timers, and more time would be spent fighting.
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
Loot timer should be at least 2x longer than it's now (i think about roughly 10s). Also items should not be visible to others when timer runs. After timer expires it gets visible to others. This would be best thing. Or adding OPTIONAL, OFF BY DEFAULT loot options like round robin or something like that (again OPTIONAL OPTION that party leader can set up.). Or at least some Loot log, to be able to identify ninjas and kick them out of party.

Agreed.

They made game for these people and now they don't even want to play it anymore.

Its funny how that works.

With the loot-timers, nobody can pick up every piece of loot at the moment it drops, so that's a moot point. Just standing around or not, it doesn't matter since everyone has time to pick up their stuff.

You say that like body blocking and poor pathing isn't an issue in this game, half of the time you click your loot and still don't get it for the above reasons.

And timers or not, people do just stand in the middle of the mobs waiting for loot to drop, which slows down the run for everyone else in the party. If you're claiming this doesn't happen I'm a little shocked.
Longer loot time = more time wasted, and more loot lost due to people moving on.

It's fine, its set for intense gameplay, but i guess for some several seconds to react is too hard. ;)

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I wouldn't like it if they made all loot instanced per player

What part of option do you not understand?
You'll still be playing your beloved ffa.
So don't go strawman

People stopped playing Diablo III because of the RMAH and the lack of end-game content, I very much doubt anyone quit because of instanced looting.

...Or they could just remove the timer and totally screw over your whole perception of what you consider 'YOUR' loot.
