Im sure they don't care about revenue.
You make revenue so you can pay your employees. You pay your employees so they can deliver more content and possibly more games for your company in the future. They won't be working on Path of Exile forever. If however they decide they want to keep working on Path of Exile for 5-10 years or who knows how long, then you'll see better games of course pass them up. Players will leave slowly but surely. Inevitable.
I was under the impression that GGG was a bunch of cool, laid back friends that just wanted to make a game they enjoyed.

Also, what about allowing the party leader to decide what kind of loot system to use, like in other games? "Free for All", "Allocated", "Each one his own loot"...
That is the current debate, actually. Because as of yet there is no reason NOT to go with something like this, except for the argument of "vision", which to be honest is a HORRIBLE one.

I was under the impression that people wouldn't work for free because they need food. Good luck working on a game AND a job at the same time.

Full time? No one does. That was also in my previous post. You can either A. work part time and find a REAL job to support you, or B. work full time on the game. In case A you can use job 2 to support you somewhat, but in case B that is your job.
Your point is now moot. Your move.

My point still stands.
Also, il add more.
My friends are in a band, they practice and play all the time. And they play at bars all the time for almost nothing. They do it because they enjoy it.
Some thing applies here im sure.
Maybe you should PM someone from GGG if you seem so hell bent on being proved something.
Im just going from what i read and seen.

Didn’t say that they didn’t enjoy playing, but it is incorrect to state that they play in bars for Free. They get free/cheap alcohol as payment.

They could care less really... You keep missing the point.
Yes, they pretty much play for free. Honestly, if you told them in person they played for cheap drinks they would probably power bomb you through the drum set... :D
Free of charge too.
