I think we'd find out "what the community wanted" much faster that way. And the forum can be where we get the questions to ask and answers to choose from for the polls.

A good idea. But! It might also not be representative of what should be interesting to the developers. It would relatively well reflect the opinion of the game's currently active community.

For example, I have friends with accounts here, but that are never present on the site because they (like me) don't like the FFA system. There are other games for them (or, us) because FFA is a no-go. Some accept it, some don't - we don't. There are surely others who come to PoE and leave because of the same reason - or for any other reason that is completely unrelated, of course. They won't be around to vote.

Who will usually stay around and see the polls? Those that at least believe that the good with PoE outweighs the bad. And, those that like how it currently is. The result of the polls will therefore most likely be in favor of how the game currently is.

It shows what the current community likes, not what the game should be to attract a bigger community. And bigger (and sustainable) community = more potential (safe-ish) income (which is of great importance to GGG because they are a company and all that which really does not have to be discussed again).

So yes, it's a good idea but it'll be rather useless for the proposed purpose.

Looting system in this game is a failure. It's good on paper, but lag makes it completely unfair. It's not ffa, it's not about how fast you are.
You have good connection and computer - you get the loot. You have worse connection and computer - forget about the loot.

How can anyone think, that's good?

Sorry, I was reading in order and posted things before reading this. Good policy.

Most important thing I've said about this whole issue, I feel should be reiterated.

t's one thing to enable grief play... But to ensure that the victims of grief-play have nothing to do but complain... That's actually borderline psychopathic.. And to sweep the thousands of players who DO complain (THE INTENDED AND EXPECTED CONSEQUENCE OF THEIR OWN DESIGN) into one neat, easy-to-ignore, thread crosses deep into the realm of sociopathy.

For this reason, I encourage civil disobedience and the opening of a new loot thread any time anyone feels like it.

I have given up on ever getting the option for loot so I stay solo and just group to finish a quest if needed.

It's quiet clear where GGG are on this if they don't say anything it will just go away,what they do not realize is that those that stop saying they want option's will have left the game.

They seem happy with that.

ive been doing maps in public partys now for a few weeks, under rule set "maps to opener - loot to name"

Not anymore.

Now, I run my maps solo or with friends.



(my comp is killer and my internet is 40/40 fiber - so plz refrain from saying "get better internet and so on")


the map i run are usuallu in the 40% quantity and up range so i play with toggle.

running like this in a public grp only works if u have no ninja(s) in the grp. sometime ppl are fair but sometimes not.

IDK how they can fix this, but i hope they will come up with a better loot system.

until then, gdbye public crap
