Remove whatever it is you're getting buggered with, or stay off internet forums until you're done getting buggered. I can't complain about your forum warrior attitude, but holy fuck pay attention to whom you're bitching at.

Touchy? Sensitive? I wrote that for all those that believe cause d2 had it makes it the perfect system, I wasn't directly bitch at you...
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

Okay, so what do you guys think of that suggestion that other guy made?

The one where everybody can click on any loot, and when the timer is up it's randomly given to any of the guys that clicked on it (or something like that)?

I haven't seen anybody criticize it yet, and yet it seems it's been already forgotten off the face off the earth :P

It has all the same problems as the current looting system without even the illusion of any kind of immersion.

The problem with the looting system isn't just that ranged characters can't get loot, it's that it's made to look hardcore by being old and shit. It's made to look competitive without being competitive in any real sense of the word, since so many factors influence the outcome of looting without any say on a player's part. It's loot distribution via an extremely bad RNG, not anything more than that.

No its not...

Theres a reason these kind of games are called *DClones...

Also , you're wrong, D2 released in June 2000.

Your point? We do not want to play a d2 clone, we like Poe.

Diablo and Diablo 2 shared the same looting system.. And it really doesn't matter... 13 years is not low in gaming and computing

It does matter when you spout off and you're wrong. Think about it.

Your point?

... Quite obviously went right over your head.

Wanted to add constructive idea, its very simple idea, but I think it's obvious when you think about it.

The main problem with the loot system currently is entitlement. An item drops with your name on it and the first impulse in the brain is that its your item.

So simply... just remove the names from the loot timers. Players can then all see an item fall with a timer. The player who is suppose to get it will it in colour not greyed out and know they are the first one allowed to pick it up.

If you take the name out of the loot timer it will fix a lot of the psychological problems.

Actually, as much as I hate that term, this is one of the rare cases I believe it fits.

If you search back in this very thread, tens or hundreds of pages ago, you will notice i posted about the "false sense of entitlement" that this "Loot Timer" has given people. GGG shot themselves in the foot by adding this rediculous timer.

FFA means no names, no timer, best of luck.

It shoulda stayed that way.

As is, this is just fucking with people minds psychologicaly.

Fully agree with you. Loot is never "yours" to begin with, you just got lucky and a timer to pick it up as opposed to the others in your party.

Even without the names on the items people will NOT like the system any better than they do now. Unless of course they are the ones who love the loot competition.

I reckon you are correct. But, the difference is , NOT ONE PERSON, would have said, "you stole my loot"....
