I am going to go ahead and state the obvious that guys in a band playing a show for free doesn't really cost them much of anything.

People working on a video game like this have to care somewhat about the revenue to support the game because it COSTS them a lot to do it. Big difference there.

Not to mention a band isn't a full time job. It's just a hobby. Game development could start as a hobby, but you are really looking for a job when developing one.

This band example is awful.

All I can say is I'm very glad you do not work in game development and I would assume don't run a business. I may not be a business major, but I know enough of how business works to say that in my opinion the stuff you say is wrong.

I'm not about to go and prove cause I just really don't feel like browsing content to support my argument, but I'll just go ahead and leave it as my opinion.

Nope... Band is a great example.

Also, band is almost a full time job. They put in alot of time, money and effort into it. For years. And in the end they end up loosing way more money then they actually make.

Because they enjoy it. Simple as that really.

Actually they do get alot of ass. But thats more of a public donation.

No, it really isn't. You have to make a living. This game is how GGG makes a living. It's their full time job. It's their source of income. They care about revenue so that they can pay off debts, support their families. They also NEED revenue to keep the servers running. And they need revenue to expand the game.

Your band example is not the same because that is a hobby. They do it for fun and not to make money. They are not professionals.

You are trolling again. You can’t compare a hobby to a business. False equivalent.

Its not trolling. I Suggest you figure out different words to use for people you don't agree with. Troll this, troll that troll troll troll.

Don't you get tired of it?

And yes, i can compare them because they are infact the same thing if it works out. When you can get paid for a hobby you love its the best of both worlds.

If I found the discussion as entertaining, I might as well. That said, I've heard more coherent arguments between children play-fighting on playgrounds over whether you can have an everything-proof shield.

What?
It's simple. Remove the loot timer. Assign all rare or 5l/6l or currency or map items a group member's name. If someone else picks up that item, the 'victim' gets an option to activate pvp versus the offender. If he fights him and wins, the offending player dies, loses XP as usual, and drops the item he 'stole'. If the offender kills the victim, he gets to keep the item himself. It's perfect.
