Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.

My feedback on the whole issue is:

I stopped playing in groups except when I only want to level up.
With 20-50 minions on screen, monsters and dozens of spell-effects, it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to even click "my loot" in time.

I missed so many orbs, gems and even uniques that I simply don´t want to play with other players any more.

So unless there will be an option to actually CHOSE from FFA / Timer / Individual Multiplayer in PoE is dead for me.

Non-FFA loot should be an option.

Disagree? Explain why it should not be allowed.

With the timer as short as it is now a pathing issue or lag often what decides who gets the gear.

First off, there are NO ninjas in POE. Proven fact.

Second. Whats the point of 20 second extenisons on loot timers? Thats NOT what the game is all about. The TIMER is meant to give you a chance to pick up loot, its not a label for ownership.

Posts like these only prove that loot timers should be removed not extended.

You know, if i simply change FFA to another common pain in the ass topic. An option that alot of people beg for in alot of games.. These options usualy screw the game over and seperate the community. Red Dead Redemption comes to mind.

Nope. That's not true. If you join a group that implicitly or explicitly states the rule that drops belong to the one who gets their name on it you are a ninja if you take someone elses loot. That is just simple logic.

You call that logic? Because last i checked, once the timer is gone there is NO name. So its not really theirs.

First off speak english. Second, if nobodys reasons behind FFA loot including the actual devs are good enough for you maybe its 'you' thats the actual problem.. Not the game.


You act as if this game was made by you for you. Like the devs and players who enjoy the way the game is owe you an explanation.

Most of the posts wanting changes to the loot system are based of greed, unless you haven't been paying attention.
