Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.
" Judging by how you post. Fighting your way out of a paper bag is probably the hardest thing you have ever done. |

" Gross. Also, we need a unique item that extends the loot timer and denies drops for ninjas. Genji Gloves or something. Would be wicked sweet. Last edited by moikpei#0050 on Feb 7, 2013, 1:31:24 PM

" To be fair, this thread isnt entirely comprised of whining. If an opinion is whining, well ... GGG - Why you no?

" Meh... Its about 40% whining and 40% insults. I mean, theres a small perecnt of good posts on both sides of the topic. But, its like finding a needle in a hay stack Last edited by Vooodu#7002 on Feb 7, 2013, 1:44:36 PM

" How is it not? 4 people in the game would be 4 times as much loot. Economy prices are based off of supply and demand. If theirs an overage of supply then the demand cant keep up and prices will drop and only a very small percentage of items will sell. Also guys if you are playing with someone who is ninjaing loot then why don't you kick that person and block them so you do not have to play with them again. I dont know why you would keep playing with someone who keeps Ninjaing loot if you dont like. If I was worried about items getting ninja'd I would either solo or play with friends who I know will not ninja items. |

" Instanced loot =/= increased amount of loot dropped. This has been explained to you multiple times. IGN: Wrathmar * Paulie * Client

" You're making a very simple, but bad mistake in your line of thinking here. Now, I am NOT arguing for or against instanced loot, but when people talk about having separate loot they generally DO NOT mean that everyone gets a pool of items from the monster and it drops far more loot than they are currently. What they DO mean is: 1. Party of 6 kills a monster. 2. Monster drops a TOTAL of 12 items (in this example). The monster DOES NOT drop 12 items PER PERSON...key point here that you messed up on. 3. Each person only sees TWO ITEMS from the total pool of 12 that dropped since 6x2 = 12. 4. Party kills another monster and this one drops 12 pieces of loot total. 5. AGAIN, only TWO ITEMS are seen by each person, which means that there are still 12 items...no extra. Therefore, no extra loot was dropped, it was just divided up equally amongst the players. In this way there won't be an 'overage' of items as you claim, nor will the economy be hurt by it. The same drop rates will be obeyed in this way, just who sees what is what will change in this case. " Read it again: " HC doesn't mean FFA loot != HC has nothing to do with FFA loot. Again, correlation not causation. It seems captain obvious might need to visit you a few more times before it clicks. |

" Dude, do the math, it's simple arithmetics: -a total of 100 items drop from the total number of monsters from an instance with 6 party members in a ffa-loot-system; -a total of 100 items drop from the total number of monsters from an instance with 6 party members in a instanced-loot-system. Exactly the same. No inflation, no bubble, no FUD. Last edited by mobutu#5362 on Feb 7, 2013, 2:38:26 PM
