Just separate the loot. End of story.

After playing in a lot of groups, I hope they do nothing. Today was the first time I've had someone start with the "why are you guys a bunch of ninjas?! Give it back!" but thankfully he only made the two comments. Every other game I've played in has been incredibly fun, competitive, and free of whining.

Something that happened earlier to me is the perfect reason why I don't ever want to see instanced loot: a party member and I were clearing out whatever remained of Pools & Streams after the rest of the main Oak-killing party had left. An Alchemy Orb dropped for him and he grabbed it, a very short time later another one dropped for me and I grabbed it, then as I walked about a screen-length away I discovered another Alchemy Orb just sitting out in the open, left behind by whoever had first cleared the way to Oak.

Every party member should at least have the opportunity to grab every item that drops. Considering that the major shared components of party gameplay are monsters and loot, removing shared loot removes a significant social element of party play; you might as well just be running alongside bots helping you kill the monsters.

Btw, Protip: if your timer-laden item is in the middle of a huge mess of monsters or other items, just click the item name *and hold*; your character will run to wherever that item actually is and pick it up ASAP.
The loot timer is way too short. Im lucky if i get a single piece of good loot in a 6 man group. I think the timer should be raised to 10 seconds at least.

For my it`s kill the social element of a party. In every onlinegame that i play in my life, when i join a party i write hello, and than i want also a little bit funny chat.

POE acutaly make me say hi and than quiet. Nothing from everybody in chat. All run for loot no one write in chat. It kills the social element. I have never problems in onlinegames to find friends to play whit it, but here the System are so that players are first priority Ninjas.

I have no Problem to grab my loot, my Ping are good.

But i have a problem to join partys that are non social.

Do know play GGG always whit friends or fanboys and so the had no problem with the current system. But i dont think, they want that players piss of eatch others.
Try your own build, rerolling again and again, more fun than Maps.

You will get faster at it. Eventually you will be able to snag the other loot left to you too. Just don't go about it the wrong way and waste good practice time in this thread complaining like many other casual players are at the moment.
imo the loot situation is appauling. There should be an option when starting a group to make the timer a lot longer for those who want it. For me my duelist cant survive 61+maps alone, all my loot gets stolen even in non ninja teams, none of my friends are high enough level to farm with me. Cant level without a group, cant loot without a group, but then cant group or I end up with no loot.

This idea about instanced loot making other players feel like bots is complete nonsense btw, maybe for some people but I dont think for most, most would rather be able to loot in their own time.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Funny that you said that because with ffa-loot nobody has time to socialize, being too busy watching/camping/taking the loot.
