this is the problem that people do not realize....pickit bots WILL come and people (including myself) i would prefer to PAY 20$ for the pickit bot than to any cosmetic thing they will bring...it is a matter of efficiency afterall...

When I was playing Mario Bros on the NES I recommended Mario had the option to punch Goombas instead of jumping on them. Jump bots would come and cost $20 and would ruin the game. I don't like having to time my jumps and trying to position myself to accomplish the task, so I would pay for a jump bot, it is a matter of efficiency after all.

Bots will come in any game, also your idea of instanced loot is great! Then AutoIT bots will come into party instances and just loot all the rares and orbs assigned to them. This also brings about the "Buy orb #1 china best shop best price" spam, that we have YET to see with FFA. Currently the only things being sold for real money are items that other players HAD to farm.
I am not saying that bots won't exist like vase breakers etc, but it would be exponential with assigned/instanced loot.
There is my FFA defense, and I would much rather deal with fighting over loot than ignoring someone every 30 seconds. Especially with this being a F2P game, the spam would be ridiculous.

Add an option to set a custom loot timer when creating a party. Anything from zero to 60 seconds. Problem solved.
Exactly. It puzzles me so much why people would even think about instanced loot. Why on earth would it make sense to create a whole new system when the current is easily adjustable to accommodate everyone?
On the other hand I don't understand how anyone can seriously consider it a bad idea to allow party leaders to define the loot timers themselves, or why it isn't like this already. There's literally no downside to it.

Well, someone just don't want to see loot, that he can't loot. There is too much loot in 6 players party. I would like to see only my loot 1/6 of 6 players party loot.

Because that doesn't solve the screen clutter problem.
Instanced loot would not really be hard or complicated to make. Just make the timers to not count down and hide other players loot.

If GGG is going to cave into the complainers and make instanced loot
It should be a simple check box at the charatcer select screen. Which can only be toggled on and off at the character select screen.
With it checked ON you now only get loot based off single player rewards which only that player can see.. You will no longer get party rewards for loot. But you will still get party EXP .
Simple as that really.
Why not keep the ratio of loot dropped the same (the multiplayer bonus) but divide your "loot time/drops" by the number of players? So if 6 players are in the game everyone still gets the bonus for a big party its just you only see 1/6th of the drops.
They could up the bonus a bit more for FFA to reward the cutthroat players and remove the timers or keep the timers how they are now to assist ranged. This would double as incentive for players to friend players and build relations for the increased loot (cuz friends wont hoover everything on eachother so everyone shares in the extra bonus) Or just allow FFA to become a hoarder meta game for those who enjoy it in pub games.
Why complicate things? I mean seriously, everyone here asking for changes comes up with the most complicated and weird changes.. Its almost too funny.
My idea is easy.
Don't like FFA loot then choose to not be a part of it...at all.
You get instanced loot but you get NO party reward for loot. Party EXP bonus stays the same.
Also, with the above option now availble GGG can just remove the loot timers and let it be a real FFA loot.
How is it more complicated? It is exactly the same as it is now except if an item has your name on it you have forever to pick it up. You are the one making it complicated in your head.
Quickversion:
designated loot = how it is now except you get to actually pick up your items indefinitely.
FFA = How it is right now but bump up the rewards a tad bit more to promote positive reinforcement instead of punishing designated loot.

Why remove the loot timers it compensates for range from the item and lag so you actually have a chance.

Way to cherry pick. Besides that stipulation was simply to cater to the "100% diehard cutthroat uber badass" PURE FFA (with zero counter) crowd. SOOOOoooo cutthroat even though you cant literally cut their throat for being a hog. (ironic isnt it?)

The loot system for me is very disappointing since I do not have good latency. By the time I even get a chance to click the item, it has been looted by other players. It's actually my fault since I play in the Philippines and our internet here isn't as good as other countries. But how I just wish that the timer for the allocated loot would be a little longer.

How in fucking hell does FFA hinder bots since solo or private parties don't really have an FFA anyways? Are you high?

Hes just blabbing and hoping no one will question him I think. Why would bots join public games where players have a higher chance of noticing them and reporting them?
