speaking of multi-boxing. I finally tried using a booster account and I think GGG may have changed the loot system a bit already. I left my second character at the entrance and cleared with my main. The monsters had more health but I didn't really notice an increase in drops. I also found that NO loot was allocated to the second character that was doing no damage.
So my question is... did they change the system so a player has to damage a monster to have loot drop under their name? IGN: Wrathmar * Paulie * Client

I'm pretty sure they nerfed the drop rates, although I can't be certain. Adding 1 afk (50% bonus) is barely noticeable, add 4 or 5 and go across the map, you'll notice it.

As it stands now, the loot system in this game(in public groups) is broken. The devs are just doing a "Jay Wilson" where whatever they think is always right.
- People join groups just to pick up loot. Won't attack mobs. - When a boss is about to die, they stop attacking and go and stand right on top of him. - Very often the boss will explode with so much loot that the rares will be on the outskirts of the pool of loot, to the point that you have to move your toon to even see that what's dropped. couldn't pick it up in time? too bad. - I've seen players run ahead of the group(using flasks/skills) and open chests so they can have all the loot. The Devs claim the system is cut-throat, but it isn't. It would be cut-throat if I could fight the opposing player for the loot. With the current system there's absolutely no ramifications for him being a ninja looter. There's a reason Guild Wars 2, Torchlight 2, and Diablo 3 don't use this system. They want people to focus on killing the mobs and working as a group, not fighting against each other and disbanding because of it. This isn't cut-throat, it's just stupid game design. If their goal is to drive people away from public parties, then their doing a damn good job of it. I know at least I'll try my level best to stay away from them. |

For me the bottom line is that the devs probably thought 4-5 people competing to click on loot drops would somehow be fun. To me it is the furthest thing from it. Do people really think everybody that plays this game wants to become a complete loot whore *just to get their fair share*? Not fun. |

increase the timers so decent ppl can have their loot instead of the thief. |

sorry I just read chris's post before expressing my view..
personally i(we) like to ninja loot each others loot in the private party..it's really fun that I looted my frd's item, ID it, link it. but at last we'll share the loots if anyone needed.. But for the pub, I feels I am compelled to focus the drops rather than the fights. And I've already lost a lot of rares to ninjas just because I would rather finish the fight than loot. Also as a party leader, it's hard to identify who ninja-ed others loot in a messy fight. And not able to kick / badlist the unwelcome one. when the room name is no ninja and everyone joined the room is expecting that. so i hope there will be. 1. longer allocate time or loot option. 2. Option to indicate who pick the item. I understand that this game is made for hardcore player. But...I just don't like to ninja or be ninja-ed in a pub party...this is the reason i rarely go to pub... wish you guys understand that. |
