Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.
" ...That doesn't prove anything. Its FFA loot. Duh. BTW... 95% of loot is garbage. So thanks for cleaning that shit up. Its a real dirty job. Im glad that someone like you can keep the beautiful island of wraeclast clean. Keep the island clean folks... Pick up that trash!! ...lol Last edited by Vooodu#7002 on Feb 5, 2013, 11:08:48 AM

" abominal cause you do not like it ? you do not like feedback, you do not like change ? abominal cause the players do not eat every crap they got served? abominal that we fact care so much to come here and provide numerous reasons that why FFA loot is a revived crappy system? abominal cause we do not accept the "cut throat" system in looting and not in open PvP that WILL create a true cut throat feelings? seriously... abominal for what reason ? PS. and there is not promise that many of you do not post in here....we arent' making any promises anyway...we post facts , we counter claim facts from the other side and this goes on and on...this is how arguments work.. When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

" And we know this because we ID it first. To ID it we need to have the item in inventory. To have the item in inventory we have to pick it up. To pick it up we have to camp it. All this just to see if its garbage or not ;) Last edited by mobutu#5362 on Feb 5, 2013, 11:19:25 AM

" Can you please explain to me what is fun about FFA loot? I am struggling with this one. I love competition, I love cutthroat mechanics. But so far every public game I've played simply involves looting everything as fast as you possibly can; the entire game becomes all about how fast you can loot. To me this isn't fun at all, I suppose you like it? Just curious. " It would be good if this were true but it's not. As it is now, almost all public games devolve into complete and utter loot whoring on the part of everyone. If one person does it, well guess what.. everyone has to do it just to get anything at all. It's largely anonymous and I really fail to see the downsides to doing it, other than the fact that it's not fun at all. (PS: Voodu your posts are completely assinine) |

" I think your major issue is failing to understand what FFA loot means. As monsters die, loot drops which is FREE for ALL to take. Simple as that. Theres no loot whoring.... The point is to kill and grab what ever you see. So either get with the whoring or get with the cryin'...:D Last edited by Vooodu#7002 on Feb 5, 2013, 11:24:20 AM

" While your post is kind of funny. I barely pick up up 5% of drops. I don't understand camp the drop? Camping? Camping what drop? I mean if a players really want what dropped, theres no harm in waiting 1-3 seconds for the stupid timer to expire. I always see players camping garbage with my name on it... That i leave behind..lol Which i find funny... Chances are these players will also have a full inventory when something good actually drops. :D Last edited by Vooodu#7002 on Feb 5, 2013, 11:46:19 AM

GGG, stop half-assing the party loot system in attempt to make it some kind of fair-but-cut-throat kinda thing. PoE is a great game, but this is stupid.
If you make party loot FFA, then awesome. I'm not going to party, but at least you're not wasting time making a half-assed loot system. If you make a system that *guarantees* me a fair share of loot in a party, then awesome. I'll party with people, and the time will be worthwhile. If you make a half-assed system that still leaves the door wide open for people to screw each other over loot, then just stop. I'm not going to party, a lot of other people aren't going to party, and basically you've created a feature that nobody is going to either use (because they don't party) or care about (because they already party and don't care). |
