Looks like a great big waste of playtime to me.

" Why complicate things? I mean seriously, everyone here asking for changes comes up with the most complicated and weird changes.. Its almost too funny. My idea is easy. Don't like FFA loot then choose to not be a part of it...at all. You get instanced loot but you get NO party reward for loot. Party EXP bonus stays the same. Also, with the above option now availble GGG can just remove the loot timers and let it be a real FFA loot. Last edited by Vooodu#7002 on Feb 4, 2013, 5:06:41 PM

Dear GGG, i have but 1 option. do what you do best, that is please everyone at the same time. make it so that its option when creating a party to have FFA with timer (because imo its a great idea.) and with a permanent timer, or maybe just a very very long timer. problem solved. you cant afford to have more items drop ( if everyone has different items dropping for them. ) that's the kind of sh!#t that kills an economy. just my opinion.
hit me up @sarrow lets have fun :D

" IL doesnt' destroy any economy and economy will be balloon anyway, it is inevitable.. When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

" Why remove the loot timers it compensates for range from the item and lag so you actually have a chance. Last edited by g0d#1667 on Feb 4, 2013, 5:29:26 PM

" Cool! How? |

" That might be the system but it does not always work correctly. Take the example of something dropping 2cm to your characters left. If the item is down on another level or through a wall then the player might need 10 or more seconds to navigate around the map to get to the item. The system failed because it does not make such long timers :( I am sure they will fix it sometime. Maybe they can just make the timers 5 times as long, that's like changing 1 line (or not many more) of actual code. |

" Here is my stance, if anyone cares. I think the loot timers made everything worse with regards to FFA. I think it should be all or nothing. Go FFA all the way, or instance the loot. Having the timer on loot makes people think they have a "right" to the loot once the timer is up. They don't. From what I can tell, GGG has been very clear on this. It is FFA from then on. But, people confuse the timer as somehow having given players a right to the loot. If GGG's philosophy is such that they want FFA in the game, I'd much prefer that they do it without timers. I think we would see less heartache. |

I'd like to just see loot timers increased. There have been many times now that I'm in merciless when you're in a group of six people, and half the group will stop fighting to stand over an Orb of Alchemy or whatever loot has dropped, and sometimes people can't get to their loot because the game hasn't been optimized yet and they're lagging. Or half the group dies because people stopped fighting to ninja loot. I know you guys want the game to be cutthroat, but I feel it can be cutthroat without being so frustrating to loot. I really don't like having to stop fighting so I can make sure I get my loot, and if I get an FPS lag spike or an MS lag spike sometimes people lose good loot.

Another option to consider is to INCREASE THE LOOT HITBOX SIZE.
A lot of the times when something godly drops under a players name in a 6-p FFA party, they frantically click it but miss and end up just running beside the loot rather than picking it up, hence allowing a ninja to get the loot. By increasing the loot hitbox (especially rare/uniques), it would enable players to have a much better chance at getting them, WITHOUT having to tamper with timer lengths etc. You click around the rare/unique item's spot and bam, your character b-lines to pick up the loot.
