It will appease a larger amount of people changing it slightly.
And if they do not. Oh well. Most of us just wont play in groups unless we have to (big boss runs).

The crazy thing is if it were the other way around, the FFA advocates wouldnt quit playing group games at all. In a sense they arent losing out on anything. Im not trying to speak for everyone but a majority of the Anti-FFA (so to say) would just NOT play groups. The other way around isnt so true

Sounds to me like the anti-FFA group is somewhat lazy when it comes to finding a couple of decent people to play with. I agree that playing in completely random groups can be unsatisfying, but you can always establish a friends list full of nice people. Or just wait for clans to get implemented and join the one that appeals most to you (as I already suggested to crybaby mobutu). Instead of trying to persuade GGG to change the loot mechanics, seize the initiative, adapt to the current mechanics and you will most likely have fun rather sooner than later :)
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

your point? this is a online only game (i cant' play offline like TL2 for example)
as an online only game it is also multiplayer

Online != multiplayer.

This game is online only because of F2P + Cashshop - so they have control over the serverstuff and over the pricing = selling stuff. That's it.

Again, you are repeating yourself instead of actually responding :)

and tell me please how you are supposed to do that when you (by devs) forced to treat anyone as a hostile (you know what cut-throat means right?)...and remember even a friend or a clan member can take your 1/10000 super duper drop...
clans and "friends list" doesnt' solve the fundamental problems of FFA

and in the end seriously asking players to find "workarounds" with ingame problems is....silly?

And I already have. While I appreciate your humble advice, I have made measures to not play in PUGs again. I just decided to throw my 2 cents (probably more like 50cents) at the subject.

I just view it that giving just one inch to the Anti-FFA (this term should be taken loosely, i dont have abetter at the moment) will encourage more group play. Free for all advocates wont stop playing group play on either decision (like i said i dont speak for them all) because the loot incentive is greater and they win either way.

However, those opposed to the current loot, have stated they will not be joining PUGs until a change is made.

Thanks for being humble though

So if someone else touches me to it...thats fair game right ? :D:D
This whole circlejerk defending FFA loot are so zealous that they refuse to acknowledge any problem in the current loot system for fear that it might get reworked and turned into instanced loot. I'm really tired of people making those generalizations all over the internet.

The current system is flawed, it needs fixing, and that doesn't mean including instanced loot (something that I wouldn't be opposed by the way, but let's no enter in such discussions).

When I form a group I do it so I can kills monsters more efficiently at the cost of a lower loot per person.

The problem is that many players are charging ahead on the maps so they can open all the chests by themselves and solo kill easier champion monsters without his team being nearby, so a good portion of the increased droppings are being granted to a single player and not the whole party, where players could freely compete over the loot. This decreases the amount of loot I can get on an instance, making my runs less efficient compared with solo farming.
This is a simple problem to solve (I think), just make the amount of drops from chests and monsters proportional to the amount of players in the vicinity, so if someone solo kill a champion while on a group he will only waste time since he is killing a tougher monsters for the standard drop rate.

Still, there is a second problem right now that doesn't have a simple solution. Even when a player stick with their group he can act like a parasite and keep opening local chests or searching for loot instead of focusing that tough energy shield yellow monster that his group is attacking. While he is messing around chests his group loses a significant portion of its combined DPS and if something good drops from these chests and the item is reserved to a second player he will be forced to stop attacking the champion to grab the item, so this will decrease even more the DPS of the group, so the efficiency of partying up will also decrease.
