I'm still not getting it why people are feeling entitled to get items. FFA means the loot belongs to all party members and not to you personally. If you want the item, click it? GGG even implemented timers so you have a chance to pick up items if you or your computer or whatever is slow.

This.

There is no "your loot". There is only FFA loot.

Well, everyone knows that... That is the problem of the loot system and reason of this discussion.

BTW your argumentation is Circular Argument. It is logical fallacy. I'm sure, you can google it.

People not getting to their loot one way or another. ....

This is your main problem. You don't understand that it's not "your loot". There is no "your loot". It's FFA. The timer is there so that ranged classed even have the slightest chance of getting something.
End of talk for my part. Because this will only lead to an argument.

so another FFA defenders admits that FFA system is unfair in some cases cause it "blocks" a certain type of gameplay (i.e. ranged)

seriously....
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself
I play ranged and have no problem getting to my loot.

Right about now you would have one hell of a problem getting to your loot if I was in your party.

Try getting past an ice wall...that a teamate decides to block you from loot or 'push you away from it' instead of using it on the enemy.

That is what 'cut-throat' feel is. Join random public parties and experience it for yourself.

I love the rush of adrenaline when some FFA loot drops

This is how you call ninja and thievering these days? adrenaline rush? in the end its still what it is, depriving your fellow party members of their loot share just because you're a thief.
Also, there's an extremely high probability that you don't know what its a real life adrenaline rush, you come here to find it in virtual games/universes, how pathetic is that.

We don't need you here. If you want to be here, stay for all I care, but then you have absolutely no right to start complaining and mainstreaming this piece of art of a game. You want to play with us? You play with "our" rules. And by "our" I mean GGG's and the people that share the same hardcore vision.

Who are the "we" you spoke about?
Who are the "us" you spoke about?
What gives you the right to assume developer point of view and talk about "our rules"?
What gives you the right to say this game is yours?
You're not even a little aware on how pathetic/awkward you are.

I saw many ffa advocates hiding their true ninja personality under this "slogan / banner / motto / catchphrase" whatever this is.
Let me address it logically/rationally.

When playing solo the drops belong to the solo player.
When playing in a party the drops belong to the party.

That party is formed by 2-6 players.
That party has a common goal of monster slaying in wraeclast and advancing to the game end.
When advancing and slaying monsters ocasionally they'll find some treasures (aka loot).

Now, the fundamental difference between a nice/sportsman player and a ninja is that the first category thinks and feels that those treasures belong to the whole party, meaning each getting a share of the treasure (because each helped in advancing and killing) while the ninjas feel that all treasures should be theirs only, so screw the rest of the party members, doesnt matter they got hurt and/or lost blood for the common goal of the party, doesnt matter they are far away from the drop, doesn't matter their ping, doesnt matter they are color blind or not, doesnt matter etc insert whatever.

This is happening in detail.
So please stop using this lame "motto", stop justifying your ninja actions and hiding under it, it doesnt magically make you more/less than the ninja/thief that you are.

Oh, and on another matter, the "cutthoat world/feel", another lame catchphrase.
Again, in detail, dummies level of understanding:

Cutthroat = Cut-Throat;
In default league, can my character cut the throat of your character?
No.
Then its not a cutthroat world/feel.
Simple as in kindergarden.

You know, this issue has me about pissed off enough to write a guide to taking full advantage of FFA. It is without a doubt the most exploitable piece of garbage ever stuck in a multiplayer game. As I stated earlier, it is a masterpiece of antisocial engineering.

boohoo waahaa. FFA loot is FFA loot.

Because that is related....

Yes, me wanting some reward...that doesnt require avoiding game mechanics (a.k.a team fights) is insta-gratification. Congratulations, I lost IQ reading your post.
