since you love cut throating in PoE why you do not whine to GGG to let OPEN PvP aka d2?

there is nothing hardcore about FFA system...

Yes there is and yeah I could do that in fact. Doubt it will be implemented though.
The number of posts about it proves, they will have to get that semi-FFA-system out if they want to retain their potential client base. The only question remains how they gonna do it without loosing face.

We don't need you here. If you want to be here, stay for all I care, but then you have absolutely no right to start complaining and mainstreaming this piece of art of a game. You want to play with us? You play with "our" rules. And by "our" I mean GGG's and the people that share the same hardcore vision.

Except he does have a right.

This game is still in BETA, and these are the game's forums, where those very devs are ASKING for feedback. The rules are not cast in stone.
In a very grind heavy game the death penalty equates to...more grinding.

You make me laugh you think your Hardcore?!?!,Mainstreaming, because of a timer for loot. :OUR" you are no one, just some player who thinks hes a wolf, because you can whine the loudest.
I'm still not getting it why people are feeling entitled to get items. FFA means the loot belongs to all party members and not to you personally. If you want the item, click it? GGG even implemented timers so you have a chance to pick up items if you or your computer or whatever is slow.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

People not getting to their loot one way or another. ....

This is your main problem. You don't understand that it's not "your loot". There is no "your loot". It's FFA. The timer is there so that ranged classed even have the slightest chance of getting something.
End of talk for my part. Because this will only lead to an argument.

I dont argue on forums. I discuss my friend. Trust me I wont get any hard feelings. I like debates and discussions.

If your theory is the way every should think, then why would anyone do multiplayer?
Because solo I can guarantee every drop is my loot.

Now I am completely against what Diablo III did (I think its called instanced loot). I agree with GGG that it takes away from the multiplayer and makes people feel like they are in their own bubble. BUT... 5-6 people fighting over one drop...ignoring team fights...Just is not what they were trying to achieve IMO.

This.

There is no "your loot". There is only FFA loot.

The reddit post implies they won't attempt to address the issue for a few months. The gggtracker shows pretty much all the dev posts being focused in the Bugs forum so that makes sense.

Realistically, the potential client base is possibly gone already, or may be within a few weekend. Given the media blitz, the ones who wanted to try it likely would have already or are about to.

Once people are lost, they're lost. I can't think of a game that "turned over a new leaf" then became more successful.

Sorry Xavderion but you're incorrect. FFA does not mean the loot belongs to all party members, it is a license for grand theft loot. FFA means the loot belongs to no one. If I wasn't a nice old man and was in a party with you when a unique dropped, I'd have it. I'd block you, drag mobs on top of you, get to the loot before you, put a wall of ice in your way, whatever it took to get to that unique before you, or anyone else in the party could get to it.

That is what 'cut-throat' feel is. Join random public parties and experience it for yourself.

You know, this issue has me about pissed off enough to write a guide to taking full advantage of FFA. It is without a doubt the most exploitable piece of garbage ever stuck in a multiplayer game. As I stated earlier, it is a masterpiece of antisocial engineering.

.

Because it isnt as simple as just clicking it.

Loot is number 1 priority. People evade the enemies, and just loot.
Secondly, you cant run through other players. So 4-5-6 people standing on loot with your name on it....essentially blocks you out of range from clicking it.
