What "team fights" are you talking about? It's everyones loot until you or someone else picks it up. Get a skill that gets you to the loot fast if you care about that so much.

You're slow? Tough luck. Get faster or stay lootless.

stop showing your age seriously...every claim you make is ignorant, hostile and blatant

How can you tell someones age from a post?

Also, insulting everyone for just telling it how it is. Well, its not really helping your cause at all.

I'm still not getting it why people are feeling entitled to get items. FFA means the loot belongs to all party members

...it's not "your loot". There is no "your loot".

I saw many ffa advocates hiding their true ninja personality under this "slogan / banner / motto / catchphrase" whatever this is.
Let me address it logically/rationally.

When playing solo the drops belong to the solo player.
When playing in a party the drops belong to the party.

That party is formed by 2-6 players.
That party has a common goal of monster slaying in wraeclast and advancing to the game end.
When advancing and slaying monsters ocasionally they'll find some treasures (aka loot).

Now, the fundamental difference between a nice/sportsman player and a ninja is that the first category thinks and feels that those treasures belong to the whole party, meaning each getting a share of the treasure (because each helped in advancing and killing) while the ninjas feel that all treasures should be theirs only, so screw the rest of the party members, doesnt matter they got hurt and/or lost blood for the common goal of the party, doesnt matter they are far away from the drop, doesn't matter their ping, doesnt matter they are color blind or not, doesnt matter etc insert whatever.

This is happening in detail.
So please stop using this lame "motto", stop justifying your ninja actions and hiding under it, it doesnt magically make you more/less than the ninja/thief that you are.

Oh, and on another matter, the "cutthoat world/feel", another lame catchphrase.
Again, in detail, dummies level of understanding:

Cutthroat = Cut-Throat;
In default league, can my character cut the throat of your character?
No.
Then its not a cutthroat world/feel.
Simple as in kindergarden.

Why do you assume everyone in your party is a hostile "ninja"? Why do you think everyone is selfish and wants to screw over the party? You seem to have made some bad experiences and are now butthurt beyond reason. Also my point still stands, you can't steal something if it doesn't personally belong to anyone. If you see someone selfish in your party, don't play with him. Establish a friends list. Soon there will be clans, search one which appeals to you and your needs and everything will be okay. Now calm down and have a cookie :)
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Too late fool, I've got your unique! How do you like me now pal?

...I have only found 4 uniques and have given 2 away.

So really, i don't care.

Its the principle. IF player spams walls just to block people from loot. Thats the annoying part. I could careless if i didn't get it.

Im not a whiney baby.

Looking at that huge wall of text of yours you quite much did.

life is unfair.

But this is not life, it's a game.

Tryed public grouping now several times and every group had at last one member who did nothing but waited for loot while the rest fought.

And as I mentioned earlier I stricktly follow the rule: FIRST fight THEN loot

Let the timer start when everyone in group is out of combat and increase it depending on rarity. If the timer start AFTER combat everyone in group will try to kill as fast as posible.
blue item: as it is now
yellow item and skill gems: 10+range seconds
orang item and suport gems: 20+range seconds

In addition change high end Orbs from gray to yellow and orang colors.

Exactly, its the principle. FFA enables greifers in public groups, we need a non-griefer enabling loot system to keep public groups sociable - otherwise they aren't worth the bother and, for many of us, PoE becomes a solo game. I have plenty of solo games, not sure I need another, certainly not going to pay for one when I have ones I've already payed for and haven't played yet.

And before you go the play with friends route - I'm retired, the few friends of mine that are still alive aren't and playing games is the least of their concerns these days. As for making friends in the game, that would require playing in public groups - catch 22.

Are there workarounds? Sure. Are they worth the bother? No. PoE is a good AARPG but it is far from the only one and very few people like me are going to spend money on a defective product. FFA in cooperative PvE makes PoE into a defective game.

If I want 'cut-throat' feel, I'll go outside at night and pick a fight with the drug dealers on the corner.
PvP flag if you click an item before the timer expires. Let's see how strong hyenas are when there are actual lions.

And ample opportunity for griefing people instead of faux competition. If you die in an instance killed by other player in HC mode you go to default.

Bring it on.

Group of 5 guys killing 20 enemies.
"OOOh look something shiny"...makes way to dead body to loot completely ignoring the fight.
That is what I refer to my friend.

I like the idea someone posted of increasing the radius at which items can be picked up.
That way if I am on the outskirts of the 3-4-5 guys huddling over the item awaiting my timer to drop then I can still get there. If not, well then I truly AM slow.

As per someone comment on me being slow. It has nothing to do with my speed. Its me clicking the item and the player not moving because there are other party members in the way.

What people are failing to realize is this thread is going on 400 pages. This is clearly a topic many people wish to see fixed somehow.
Nobody is going to STOP playing if it stays the same or is changed. It will just determine wether or not people play in Pick-Up-Groups.

My biggest problem with Public games is not loot.

Its the minions and auras and totems OH MY!! Six players with a few summoners, totems and aruas and i can't tell what the hell is going on...lol

I mean sure, i love all the trippy colours but i have no clue whats going on..

Look man, if you need someone to play with just add me.
