Perma ban the streamers promoting exploits

All I kindly ask for at this moment is an official statement of GGG

.......why? It's not the first time the game has been abused to hell and back and certainly won't be the last. Even if there are bans the economy won't change and future leagues also won't change. There will always be something to abuse. GGG clearly don't learn from their mistakes. The Quarry issue in PoE 1 was "solved" years ago yet they seemingly forgot all about it.

I dont agree to ban FUBGUN,if he did not show us this bug,we would not know these people who used this bug earn so much.

Can someone explain how this was an exploit?

There is a league event, they found an area where it spawns frequently. They didn't do anything weird, they literally just went to the area, akin to farming a boss or anything else in the game.

Then what did they do? Played the league mechanic optimally?

Like what am I missing here?

Yes the rewards are too much... but that's not really exploiting the game, this is literally just playing the game as it's released to maximize returns.

This is beta, they're burned out, sh*t happens. They're trying to crank out content too fast and trying to deliver more complex and cool stuff than they have time to polish, explain, and ensure is implemented properly in the game.

Absurdity to think people should be banned for this.

is there something I'm missing?

Yes there is a lot you're missing. Let's start with the definition of an exploit provided by Google: "An "exploit" is a method (code, command, or technique) that takes advantage of a flaw (vulnerability) in software, hardware, or systems to cause unintended behavior, often for malicious purposes like gaining unauthorized access, stealing data, or installing malware, acting as a tool to deliver a payload or weaponize a weakness. The term also broadly means using a situation or person unfairly for personal gain, and in gaming, it refers to exploiting game mechanics for an unfair advantage."

They were exploiting game mechanics for unfair advantage in terms of economy gain and abusing temple mechanic. Pretty simple.

They played the game as it was intended.
Any person playing the game could have noticed the temple area spawning too often. In no way was this a "glitch" or a "vulnerability".

A vulnerability implies some sort of bit of logic, or out of the ordinary quirk that is hard to reproduce.

This was none of those things. Just an intended portion of the game that was easily accessed.

The players were just doing their roll, trying to find ways of gaining power and killing things quicker and reaching objectives faster.

There is no "honor system" in these games so long as players are not using ulterior scripts and cheates or wonky exploits.

This was none of those, this was simplem, very basic play. The fault lies on the game mechanisc that allowed lawful and ethical play to produce absurd results.

Demanding players be banned because they played the game and got lots of bonuses for teleporting to the same spot over and over again is total insanity.

You know what other farming strategy also involves going to the same spot over and over again and farming for resources? LITERALLY EVERY OTHER FARMING STRATEGY IN EVERY GAME EVER SINCE THE INCEPTION OF VIDEO GAMES.

Good lord you guys gotta get a grip.

It's a beta in a temporary league.

Get a grip.

EDIT: You know what's funny? Everyone crying there weren't enough rewards for doing the temple. So GGG boosted it, knowing full well it was going to break everything and people just didn't explore and try the content.

They're probably laughing about all this. Guess maybe the temple wasn't provoding crappy rewards after all?

But people don't want to play teh game, they need to be told explicitly how to abuse systems and want everything handed to them on a silver plate.

I'm torn, on one hand, yeah the conveyance and explanation of mechanics are often burried under long winded voice overs and lore, and there aren't enough clues in UI and play as to what's going on or what to expect.

Fingers crossed this post doesn’t get Thanos snapped like the other threads. It’d be great if discussions about legitimate concerns could stay visible for more than a few minutes.
PoE 2 is not PoE 1 with better graphics.
I've said it a few times but the problem isn't "exploiting" it's the efficiency gap and the best fix is to simply make t15 maps give 6 crystals. Now everyone is on the same playing field.

You asked what you were not understanding and we explained it to you and then you continue to go on a rant trying to justify it. You still don't get it. Love you long time.

the fact that he keeps getting away with it and its openly know. and he is even openly mocking jonathan in his streams over this, says a lot about ggg, their priorities and biases

I was kind of mad at first but then the fact that he can openly mock Jonathan live while streaming exploits and suffer ZERO consequences is actually hilarious.
It wasn't a bug, it wasn't a glitch, it wasn't an abuse, it was a game mechanic that JR developed himself. I am as a player don't know is something intended or not in this game.
It's not my but devs problem if they didn't learn from Quarry mistake in POE1. It's not my problem if devs didn't learn from scarab abuse on 0.1, or abyss on 0.3.
If someone exist in the game and developers don't post anything regarding it - it's not a player problem to use it. GGG as a developers could communicate with community by 1 post with "It's not intended, we are working on it, if you keep abusing - you'll get banned" and that's it.

And all these words implies to everyone who show that on stream. 0.1 dupe was existing by 2+ weeks and was fixed only when huge streamers shows it. Same for ritual abuse. If game is in EA - just admit that game would have bugs and if no one huge would clearly pointing at it - only 1% of abusers would rule a market.

Everyone has an access to do it by themselves and still could (because it's not fixed) - don't cry like babies and blame others if you lost the train

P.S. this exploit like literally bring a lot of players back because everyone likes dophamine divine drops. But after fix (it's not literally fixed) - the game will continue losing a playerbase and be remembered as patch that worse than 0.2 lol.
It's funny how players asking about league reset and rollback, common guys, if you really think that would be good idea try to think one more time. The game will become literally dead if something like that will happen. No one launch poe2 with 0.4 after reset, 1% players maybe

I'm pretty much done with this league I'm not going to abuse an exploit/bug or w/e to play the game how it wasn't meant to be played just to get ahead.

It's really sad how many players have zero to little ethics and as someone who refuses to exploit mechanics to get ahead I'm severely punished now so glad GGG remains silent the entire time while people who play the game how its meant to be played suffer.

If there are no consequences to all this temple nonsense then i am done with this series of games all together i shouldn't be getting the short end of the stick because i refuse to do the bad thing.
