Perma ban the streamers promoting exploits

why was the other thread deleted? its bad enough they dont ban the exploiters. at least let these threads stay up so people can vent.
I think not giving any punishment to players who abused the exploit is a mistake. It sets a very dangerous precedent for the game’s future. If players learn that they can exploit as much as they want, gain huge advantages, and face zero consequences, the mentality will become:
“Exploit fast before it gets patched, you lose nothing.”

This encourages people to spread exploits, abuse them for hours straight, and damage the integrity of the league and progression fairness. Even a temporary punishment, rollback, or removal of gained rewards would send a clear message that exploiting isn’t acceptable.

PoE2 needs to build a strong foundation of trust early on, and letting this slide feels harmful to that trust.
PoE 2 is not PoE 1 with better graphics.

Waaaaaaay too heavy focus on exploits every league. There needs to be consequences. Especially for people promoting it.
Can someone explain how this was an exploit?

There is a league event, they found an area where it spawns frequently. They didn't do anything weird, they literally just went to the area, akin to farming a boss or anything else in the game.

Then what did they do? Played the league mechanic optimally?

Like what am I missing here?

Yes the rewards are too much... but that's not really exploiting the game, this is literally just playing the game as it's released to maximize returns.

This is beta, they're burned out, sh*t happens. They're trying to crank out content too fast and trying to deliver more complex and cool stuff than they have time to polish, explain, and ensure is implemented properly in the game.

Absurdity to think people should be banned for this.

is there something I'm missing?

Yes there is a lot you're missing. Let's start with the definition of an exploit provided by Google: "An "exploit" is a method (code, command, or technique) that takes advantage of a flaw (vulnerability) in software, hardware, or systems to cause unintended behavior, often for malicious purposes like gaining unauthorized access, stealing data, or installing malware, acting as a tool to deliver a payload or weaponize a weakness. The term also broadly means using a situation or person unfairly for personal gain, and in gaming, it refers to exploiting game mechanics for an unfair advantage."

They were exploiting game mechanics for unfair advantage in terms of economy gain and abusing temple mechanic. Pretty simple.
This in my eyes sets the precedent that GGG wont ban players who exploit because they are too scared of the financial repercussions of doing the right thing.

All those people knew they were doing the wrong thing and exploiting but GGG not doing anything and staying silent is making it worse.

This example in the future can now be used as precedent for being unbanned or not being banned at all for using an exploit as people weren't banned in the past for exploiting, especially streamers.

Now what GGG do from here who knows but it will be interesting to see non the less, the argument that this is an EA game and stuff like this can happen with no recourse is garbage in my eye, people paid for this game to get EA, now a lot of people have been pushed out of the SC economy due to the exploit and sky rocketing prices of everything.

This has hurt the player base a lot in my eyes as i know of at least 30+ people that have stopped playing due to being outpriced in every way due to not using the exploit.

This issue though does start with the streamers since most of them exploited live on stream, any streamer who says they didn't know it was an exploit is just scapegoating or in my mind just dumb, but we all know its scapegoating.

Hi GGG,

We’re asking for common sense and decisive action against players who exploit and abuse the game mechanics. This isn’t about banning for reasons outside the Code of Conduct. We just want enforcement of the rules everyone agreed to when signing up to play.

It’s not about the loot, exploiters abused a broken loop to farm insanely fast. Enforce your rules, GGG

Fair play matters.
The hotfix was a quick patch to stop the (initial) unintended gameloop but a lot of 'casual' gamers are now completely locked out of the current economy.

I don't want to yell: Punish all the exploiters. All I kindly ask for at this moment is an official statement of GGG
the hotfix did nothing
