Not just has to, it was never the case that it's necessarily linked to existence of a bug. GGG already did ban people on numerous occasions for similar exploits where no bug was involved. They're just being inconsistent about it depending on who's involved.

Let's hope for the best outcome, I think dev have reasons why they didn't temporary ban like ritual exploit:

1.Too many people used it > banning thousands of players would hurt the community.

2.The exploit became widely public (especially via streamers), so punishing only some players would be unfair.

Fubgun is now banning anyone that calls him out in his chat for exploit abuse LOL this is what its come to lol, he is being called out for exploit abuse and not being banned and is now banning anyo9ne who calls him out for it lol

the best outcome of course being a league reset or roll back.

another outcome is to punish those that exploited, not a ban, but remove the gains or something.

of course the most likely out come is they will just patch out the exploit and allow the exploiters to keep their gains and perfect temples thus making it so that there is no point for non exploiters to play any more.

Though assuredly, if you put two and two together, seeing as how so many more people DID NOT exploit, it would be better to make the non exploiters happy , as they would lose alot more players by doing nothing and allowing this rampant abuse to go rewarded and / or unpunished.

the league economy is so much more broken than any other league, it is an actual embarassment that equals diablo 4s exploit abuse.

they need to give all the exploiters a ban, not perma but at least 2 leagues, not just on poe 2 but one poe 1 as well.

the fact that he is banning people who call him out is hilarious lol
