" I wouldnt spend 1000 dollars in a video game if I was the richest person in the world. I'm not retarded you see. |

Yeah, who would possibly want to spend thousands of dollars on a hobby?
All those snowboarders, car enthusaists, golfers, and musicians have it so lucky only spending a couple of bucks for their hobbies! And i'm so glad that we can objectively measure that video games aren't as fun as these things for every single person alive, so we know for certain that the thousands of dollars went to waste! "when it comes to bannings i assume you'd always want a human making the final decision... flagging means exactly that, flagging "how many times would they be willing to do this? obviously the problem there was that the customer still thought it more convenient to use rmt because the bans were so infrequent. increase frequency, and eventually the customer will come to the conclusion that it's not a convenience you do have a point though -- halfassed enforcement may have the opposite of the desired effect. that's why it's important to be relentless Last edited by PlaceholderText#0668 on May 27, 2013, 12:09:54 PM

" The thing here is,that money is not contributing to POEs development rather to its detriment.GGG aren't seeing the returns of their labors, because the cash is being thrown elsewhere. If players truly wished to back GGG and POE they wouldn't be using RMT,the more currency they buy the more time/money GGG have to divert from development to police these actions. The best way to combat RMT is aggressive policing of both buyers and the various tools (third party software) that sellers use to gain currencies on a daily basis with shoot now ask questions later programs, backed up by 24/7 live GM/DM assistance.Anyone caught in the crossfire can always appeal to support (GGG have great support). Like I said to GW2 devs, monthly bans and zero live DMs/GMs just won't cut it,and it didn't.This is double the truth for POE as it's completely free accounts. But as others have said before,it's still not much use doing what I've said above if the game isn't fixed/patched appropriately to make RMT a useless venture for POE. |

" My post was not even about RMT. It was about the people insulting others for spending certain amounts on gaming. They didnt say "LOL @ spending thousands of real world dollars on RMT", they said "LOL @ spending thousands of real world dollars on a video game" |

Won't it be easier just to remove the purpouse of using RMT?
Players want to get to level 100. Only way to do this is doing very high level maps. It is ridiculously expensive to sustain running high level maps as the map drop rate is very low. Moreover, you can find level 66 map on a level 77 map. Only way for a human being to run high level maps is to buy them with real money. Map drop from maps should be increased. As a result, there will be no need for buying maps and a far less reason for buying currency. Banning may be difficult and time consuming. Moreover, you won't ban even a fraction of RMTraders. Changing the drop rate of maps from a fixed value of '1.0' to '3.0' and lowering the level difference (e.g. you can only find maps +/- 2 levels from the map you are doing) would be a move in the right direction. " Yes, this is what most players who are trying to gain levels at the upper end of the level spectrum want. They want to be able to play the higher and more difficult content in the game more regularly. It's the most fair and obvious solution, but GGG has for whatever reason, been extremely slow to correct it. |

The topic of map drop rate deserves more attention from the GGG :(
I really love doing maps - it's an ingenious idea to throw random 'rules' to the game with random opponents calling for a different approach to each map. The more difficuly you want (more modes on one map) the higher the reward will be (IIQ of the map). It's great to finally get your hands on couple of 73+ or 75+ maps, but sustaining a map pool of 73+ or 75+ is next to impossible unless you grind 16h a day just to play maps 1h a day.
