Is it just me or this 10% loose XP too much?
There would be an easy fix for a lot of the problems.
Even if, just to rebalance. Like, hey we need to make major balancing while you play the game. Here is a giant demon in the middle of tristram, oh sorry, the refuge. Buy op stuff so we can balance the game. Or even simpler, make respec free during early access. But now, thats not a beta but a paid service game. gg |

The real reason the majority of people is upset with the xp loss is not the xp loss. It is the unbearable task of lv100 in the first place. If I loose 15 minutes every death. Fine. But loosing 15 hours with one death? Gtfo

Im 79% of the way through lvl 94.
My DPS isn't great as I'm minion build hybrid with ED/Contagion and Dark effigy. However my survivability is pretty damn good with 15% of all dmg negated, capped all resists except chaos, 7k energy shield and 2k life. I don't die much but getting T16 maps to level is harsh right now. I'm hitting perhaps 1 in 20 corrupts on maps and then I have to have a cleansed zone with irradiated so I can benefit properly. Not to mention extra XP (a lot of cleansed has reduced xp in favour of rarity/quantity). If it weren't for the Omen of Amelioration I wouldn't even be caring about levelling. In fact, I don't even need the atlas points right now until I respec when I get bored of this build. Losing 2.5% XP over 10% is a huge difference. The fact is you shouldn't be dying that often in maps otherwise you are over-extending your build. If you are getting one-shot by anything that isn't a boss slam then your build isn't good for purpose. We have to have at least some danger otherwise where is the gauge of your build? You may as well remove damage from the game at that point. It is frustrating, I agree, and I would like to see the end of XP penalty on death. It takes long enough to from lvl 90 to 95, and it's exponentiality is the most disappointing factor when you can lose an entire day of your life grinding to a bad combination of damage. |

Full completion of a map (0 monsters remaining, all extra content done) should provide the player with a temporary buff similar to the Omen of Amelioration.

It's lose, not loose.
IMO, the problem is not the amount, it's that you lose progress at all. It makes sense that it should be harder to gain XP if you are dying too much. But it'd make a lot more sense to lock XP gain in some maps behind a "no dying" rule rather than make your bar go backwards. It's even a bit broken right now because if you just got your latest level it doesn't really affect you. |
