Yo, fella.

After all those buffs you can pick corrupted WHITE scepter with two sockets, stick two bear talismans and finish the campaign in few hours.

The hell are you talking about?

tell me you haven't played the game at all without telling me

Nah, he clearly plays the game. That's why he is camping in the forum instead of playing the game. Wait...

Can you tell me which runes you're using as "currencies" on a early ladder in d2 or even d2r ?????

you miss the point. in a D2 ladder reset you can farm The Countess to make very campaign-viable runewords like stealth, lore, steel, ancient's pledge.

should be able to farm for shards, essences, and exalts in campaign from a boss IMO.

YOU miss the point, i was answering to the "low runes = currencies" in D2 which is absolutely false, nobody trade el, thul, tal, ort etc... you just do some countess runs.

It's already the case in PoE 2, you can farm for exemple the snow witch in the first area to get some gear and sell for shards.

nice try Bozo.

Im sry but this is false. In early D2 ladder, ofc low runes have been currency? Reason being that without any gear, some characters cant simply farm countess on hell or nightmare when they are at this point in the campaign or at the very least its not optimized yet and takes you a good while and could also involve a death or two (->exp loss->risk). You could always trade low runes for other low runes (completing your runewords), low uniques or for good bases to craft your early game runewords, etc.
Ppl also needed them to repair, upgrade or eth bug their armor with the recipes, etc. Also you wanted stuff like Stealth armor with your first character as soon as you hit level 17 and not later in nightmare or hell when you actually get the possibility to farm countess. So if the runes for Stealth dont naturally drop (but say different low runes that other ppl might need for their nice early game runewords) then guess what happens? You trade low runes for other low runes to help each other out.

everyone screaming that trade is the answer is forgetting some crucial points.

1. currency isnt dropping in the campaign outside of act 1.
2. you have to have currency to trade.
3. people actually have to answer your trade messages because GGG wont make an auction house. (maybe they need the traffic on their website?)

Guy I think you're just talking about me and
a) I'm not screaming
b) even if currency were not dropping at all (some currency is definitely dropping), you can effectively replace your campaign kit multiple times just by salvaging drops - armourer's scraps are trading 2.5 per exa at the moment and 1 exa will get you a campaign upgrade
c) people sometimes don't respond to whispers, just whisper the next f'ing person it's not rocket surgery

This was my kit at the end of campaign: https://i.imgur.com/chtsC18.png

I had no problem trading for any of these items. They were all 1-2 exa. Everyone responded, nobody tried to scam me, and nobody "jacked up prices" on me.

I'm convinced the people who complain the most about trade are the ones who do it the least because all you have to do to avoid 99% of the problems is use filters -- filter by price to avoid price fixers, filter by time to avoid non-responders, and don't whisper sellers who are AFK. Those three things fix most of the complaints about trade.

When did you trade for these items? Today? Yesterday?
Where did you get the exalts from to buy these items? From your first character?

When did you trade for these items? Today? Yesterday?

I finished the campaign at 8PM EST on Tuesday the 15th of April, but I'm pretty sure most of these items I acquired over the weekend. I didn't get a lot of play in on Monday night 'cause my wife wanted to watch White Lotus. I feel like that's as much detail as I'm comfortable sharing.

Not all of those items required exalts; the rings, boots, and helm were all acquired with 1-3 regals. I've tried to mention in a lot of other threads that I think people are sleeping on alternative trade currencies - I actually used aug/trans orbs through the Normal campaign.

Once I was in Cruel, a lot of my exalts came from the Currency Exchange; Armourer's Scraps are trading at 2.5 per -- basically 2 superior items got me an exalt which was usually worth an upgrade.

I would love to give you more details but trades don't come with receipts.

From your first character?

Yes. My first character: https://i.imgur.com/XgoGEnn.png

Do you want fingerprints guy? DNA? Like what do you think I'm trying to do here?

@LW187

They still aren't currencies, that's just low runes for low runes trades
nobody fixed items prices on some RAL ORT or TAL for exemple
SoJ or IST runes were used as "currencies" or "coins" for HR or good gear, but not low runes.
Again you clearly don't know who i am in D2 era, i don't like to throw flowers at myself but i can bet without any problem my house that i have 10000 x your D2 level (gaming and knowledge).
Please stop quoting me about D2, you're not good enough.

btw if LW187 is for Last Wish, it was a terrible runeword.
