"ALSO Fubgun quit SO yea, I quit too."
Numbers are going down, because there is nothing like a new season. Yes, PoE2 received an update, players got in, tried out the new ascendencies and huntress and once they are through with it, they leave again. That's just normal. We are not talking about an MMORPG that requires you to play the game literally every day to be effective. PoE is a game in which you can opt in and opt out whenever you want, without missing anything.
Numbers will rise again with the next big update and it will be alot higher once the game reaches 1.0 with full release as a free to play game. And then we will have a new season every 3 months. Absolutely normal. |

a streamer who plays for a living, finds the game not fun for him. his opinion matters more than you.

Many people are quitting but there's still time to turn things around. They just need to abandon "the vision"
There are a small group of tourists who enjoy it, and a loud but small group of trolls who claim to like it. But the overwhelming majority of the community does not want "the vision" Leave Jonathan and one intern to work on PoE 2 and move everyone else over to PoE 1, update the graphics, add WASD, and make Mark lead dev. Problem solved! |

no loot
no fun |

I'm tired of getting one shot, gang banged and stun locked to death. Every time I boot the game to play, I quit about 5 mins later because it doesn't feel like it did in 0.1 where I played for 500 hours.
There's so much annoying bullshit that kills you, that you can't see because there is too much going on. For me, the endgame is good it's just if they remove the amount of bullshit that kills you, then I am 100% back. Right now I am looking for something else to play. |

I mean..., you have way too high expectations on people from Twitch/Reddit/even this forum sometimes. Keep in mind that people even have an issue with abusers being banned and things exploited (read as "why did you take away our exploit thingy").
And a lot of frustration is driven by the economy, people cannot make "money" as efficiently as they can in a PoE1 league, so they lash out with doom, even go as far insulting the devs and GGG. And then comes the "feedback". Its one thing to demand things and just say: "well, just make it better", but if asked: "ok, would you like to provide an example of how would you implement this/what solution you have for this?", suddenly most of them are quiet. At the eve of the end

Dont get why people are angry at something like a general vision.
If somebody came to me and told me all my goals suck in the first place, you know what? There is the door. Reason beeing, I can live with constructive critique, even if it is emotionally loaded. But just getting downgraded by a generalisation does not help and is annoying. Anyways, who is fubgun and who cares? Go try last epoch maybe? I bet devs are not too mad about getting cut a little slack. Maybe bigT, but again. Who cares? Last edited by kosmo_blacksmith#5449 on Apr 17, 2025, 6:30:50 AM

" I dont think game is DOOMED. I am positive that the devs want the game to be enjoyed by all the players, what dev doesnt want that. But you say they are developing on feedback. Thats the issue many people have - are they really? They are getting feedback since 5 months. Loot is bad, most skills are just garbo, some ascendancies need work, zones are too big, we are too slow, getting ascendancy points by completing sekhmeas/trials sucks, getting 1shot from offscreen, the atlas tree. Did they use this feedback since december? Nothing about what people complain about the most changed. I hope they listen to feedback and give the players what what they want, so people can love the game. But heres the thing, its been 5 months, and i dont really see that they took any of the feedback seriously. They stated the full release will be between 6-12 months. Its almost 6 months already, theyve not improved much on the major issues, and only added couple of ascendancies, 1 new class and a weapon type. With how things go, we could end up with 1.0 in 2027. Will people wait this long and stick with the game? Dunno. |

" It's not that he decides what I think, which apparently is the first thing you jump to when someone else voices opinion based on other people. But I like his playing style and his end game is something I strive for. I did reach it in 0.1 after about 507hours of game play, I had a full LA Deadeye and Attribute flicker strike monk. My total worth in gear when I quit for 0.1 was about 2.5~3 mirrors. However, I started this league a few days late, and I have just reached the end game with a LS huntress and did about 100 maps. The loot was lacking, last patch when I was this far in I had about an average of 8~10 raw exalts per map, that's not counting mechanics like breach and delirium. Now I maybe lucky if I get more then 3. I didn't quit because Fubgun quit, I quit because he showed me it doesn't get any better even if I invest another 100hours into the game and try to push for uber end game builds. I can't sell things, gear that were used to worth a good amount of currency ( things like triple resist gear or high tier damage rings with resist) doesn't even sell, I can't make currency. Last patch I killed every pinnacale boss at level 4, I was farming 300 quant 300 rarity maps with 125 gear rarity, I was having a shit ton of fun. This patch? it's like you are telling a cocaine addict to go smoke some weed, it ain't gona work. So no, I didn't quit because Fubgun quit, I quit because his opinion validated my own and showed me that the future of this patch is just as shit as I thought it was gona be, and continuing will be a waste of time. Also, I m not saying I'm quitting the game, I'm leaving until they decided to push the game towards a direction that is engaging and rewarding, till then it will be on the back burner. I played a little bit of poe1 but I'm a massive WASD fan and I hate to click and move. POE2 solved that and I jumped on the bandwagon instantly. I'm a hardcore grinder, my friends literally refuse to recommend games that are grindy to me because I'll give up sleep to grind and go to work the next day with 2hrs of sleep. I believe it's the grinders and people who push the game to the limit that actually test things. There's nothing wrong with casually playing but you just don't accrue enough hours and experience to have a fully expanded opinion of the game. People who play the campaign and barely any end game's opinion will VASTLY differentiate from those who rush through campaign in 20hours and play end game for 500. This is an ARPG, it's the end game that matters, it's what people comes back for every league, not the campaign. If the end game is bad, people won't stay, period.
