That's interesting. I think I'll try that out when I get bored of my Ranger. lol But 50% chance to poison is ehhh, but I'll still try it.

Put it on Dark Effigy, not Chaos Bolt. Assuming you aren't starting from lvl 1.

Poison support Chaos Bolt can carry you through the Grelwood Wolves all the way to Essence Drain. As soon as you get Essence Drain you just start destroying the game with EDC and never stop.

If hitting the same mob with two different spells feels clunky - put unleash on Contagion, and pierce on ED, you're welcome.
[Removed by Support] I COMPLETELY AGREE! I played Amazon as well but have neen blasting since the start, but of course i know the games systems, and know what tonprepare for melee wise.. lol

Ehhhh. Unless poison stacks on top of the damage ED already does, then, at that point, it's useless.

Duly noted! Thank you, good sir! o7
if you played poe1 for awhile you would know that if you were played the nerfed skill gem from last season, you were always going to have a bad time

ALWAYS play the broken new/buffed skills on your first seasonal character

NEVER try to make nerfed skills work, until you have items/currency to make it work.

Yeah, of course it stacks. Effigy doesnt hit quite as hard but it hits each mob for each dot on it, giving it many chances to apply poison.

You should watch the latest interview and read the patch notes.
0.2e is literally Zizaran's wish list word for word. He said nerf the werewolves - they nerfed the werewolves, he said i don't have sockets - they added artificer's orbs, he said make bleed work on ES and they did it. They straight up bent and given him every single thing that he asked for.

While there’s definitely value in listening to player feedback, I’m growing concerned that we’re heading into “cry loud enough and GGG will cave” territory.

Yes, some suggestions may genuinely improve the game—making progression smoother or abilities feel more powerful can be a good thing in moderation. But when you start shaving off too much of the challenge, or accelerate progression to the point where players are zooming through content, you risk turning PoE into another Diablo 4-style loot piñata. Free loot, one-shotting uber bosses, hitting BiS in a week, then logging off until the next season or rerolling for a few more days of fun. That’s not PoE.

This is exactly why I think PoE2 needs to offer something for everyone—give people who want fast-paced power trips their experience, but also bring in a Ruthless mode for those of us who crave real challenge and slower, more deliberate progression.

They tried ruthless in POE1 and noone played it... ruthless does not work well in a ARPG meant for loot. Especially when they have ruthless drop rates turned down to -10% which is exactly what poe2 is like. I personally can't find a single dropped upgrade. Have to spend 20k gold at the vendor(hence where zizarian was absolutely correct about the no currency problem) also haven't found a single exalt, alch, regal since act1.
