The 0.2 difficulty outcry was Mandela effect caused by the streamers. Game Feedback
nice u had fun, now try all campaign walkthrough as summoner. Imagine u have problems with eyes and u cant use firewall(because of real fire pain in eyes after some time), srs.
It was worst gameplay ever, did acts in 3 days!!!!!!!! Because it was soooooooooooooo boring and not balanced didn't want to. Its just not okay to hit white mobs for a minute with max minion dmg nodes, speed, support and tree gems of course chaos spells helped, but i didn't want to play occultist dot. I always start as summoner, even 0.1 was ok , now wtf? What if I dont want to play meta class which can 1-2 shot whole screen. So f.... up. Even lost motivation to play further. Why TF some classes can clear full screen off screen, etc, and I struggle in t1 maps, with best spectres now(couse skeletons are shit) I maybe start a new char to compare difficulty, but for now: for me poe was game where i can play as i want, any skills, interactions, mechanics, all was doable. If now Im forced to play specific skills, that deal x100 more dmg, by default, well, this is not for me, or at least place notification - skill is shit, play recommended 6. Have nothing against more difficulty, but not at cost of reducing my damage 10x times wtf???? Bosses that should add difficulty became way easier, just way way way longer and less fun. And mobs that should be 0 issue become real problem Last edited by Deus0Ex0Machine#0342 on Apr 10, 2025, 8:27:00 PM

" You can still summon a lot of SRS with Ember Fusillade and the Lich ascendancy gives them 30% extra damage right out of the gate. |

nope, it gives dmg only if I'm on top of them. Presence radius is tiny. + already bored pressing chaos poisons on each enemy, nope thx, what about just make minions normal?
And not pretending 0.2 did not f***d up a lot of things, that's why it got deserved bad reviews rating in steam Last edited by Deus0Ex0Machine#0342 on Apr 10, 2025, 8:33:52 PM

That may be mostly true, but they do have more influence than the rest of us ants. Not saying that they know what's best, every individual has their own opinions. Don't see any interviews with us ants either.
A streamer enjoying the game and viewers factor that into the consideration to play or not, will likely result in more gamers trying out the game, which is obviously better for GGG. For the most part though, I really hope they use everyone's feedback. But it certainly does feel like the streamers are speaking for us, and GGG reacts based on their feedback. I tried out my minion build witch last night on T15's and it honestly did not feel so bad. It was moderate speed, didn't feel slow at all. my gas arrows would still 2 shot some of the rare monsters. |

Yeah, +1 to this. GGG totally overreacted, and all it really did was send the message: “If you complain loud enough, we’ll cave.” Now people know they can push back and get their way, so I wouldn’t be surprised if future patches start following the same pattern. Bit by bit, all the hard edges that made the game challenging are gonna get sanded down—and before you know it, we’ll all be able to Netflix and chill while playing.

" The same influencer who was screaming at Johnathan for not giving him enough orbs in act1 also said he wants to play HARDCORE with a movie on the second monitor. |

" I mostly agree with you mate, but with a different version. For me, 0.1 wasnt easier than 0.2. But, for everybody it was a new game, a discover. So everybody (even streamers) were more patient, take time to explore game, so gain more loots,... So when they struggle during 0.1, they were patient, took their time to beat bosses. But in 0.2, everybody decided to rush it. No more time to loot and more important, no more discoveries. So less pleasure, more frustration, less patience to kill bosses. And I agree with you, this feeling is amplify by streamers, who are the main reason of stress for lot of players, even if they dont know that. Cause for every (next) league, its a rush to contents, more currencies, stupid builds,... And we all see that. And some of them feel frustrated by that :why do they have so much currencies ? Why are they destroying game in T15 maps when I cant even beat a boss in act 2 ? And so the answer is (and some streamers said it) : game is too hard. Zizaran himself played hardcore huntress, died few times and then, decided it was too hard and played another character. But, and Im sure nobody knows that but the 12th and 14th players in Hardcore are playing huntress. So its possible, they just took time that streamers dont have, and most players neither !!! " Maybe you should try just playing the game instead of following build guides for the most brain-dead ways of playing the game |

Oh boy, yet another 'POE1 vets are ruining my game' post
Let me ask you this: Why wouldn't GGG want a majority of returning players to try their brand new class? Devs were very excited to introduce Huntress in previews - why on earth do you think 'streamers' are the reason that a lot of players wanted to try it, especially a class invoking the Javazon of old? |

" There are presence nodes and presence items. Presence can easily be scaled to the size larger than your screen and then Unholy Might scales with your mana to something like +80% damage. Also Necromantic Amulet is a thing that exists in the game. Minions may be pretty weak early, I agree, but we haven't even begun to unpack how broken Lich is. They probably shouldn't have nerfed the Skeleton life at lvl 1, but I'm almost certain that Lich minions will end up being the most powerful build at high end. |
