The 0.2 difficulty outcry was Mandela effect caused by the streamers. Game Feedback

It's crazy how different the experience can be! I chose the Huntress, and I was like, wow—these offensive abilities are just OP. Of course, you need a decent weapon, just like with any attack class, but I’m playing HCSSF and didn’t have any issues with offense at all - at least for mobs; bosses a different story.

I did die around level 27 due to a lack of passive regen, and you could argue the damage was also a factor, since the fight dragged on too long. But up until that point, I felt completely overpowered against mobs.

When they added the free Frenzy charge on kill, it really cemented the spear's OP offense against mobs. You kill a mob, gain a Frenzy charge, and then obliterate all the other mobs. The real challenge comes in the boss fights, though, where it’s harder to generate Frenzy charges, and you have to find opportunities to parry. Without that Frenzy generation, boss fights feel a little underpowered but thats totally OK; cant have it all PEWPEW.

Oh boy, yet another 'POE1 vets are ruining my game' post

Let me ask you this: Why wouldn't GGG want a majority of returning players to try their brand new class? Devs were very excited to introduce Huntress in previews - why on earth do you think 'streamers' are the reason that a lot of players wanted to try it, especially a class invoking the Javazon of old?

The outcry was started by the influencer who complained he doesn't have any regal orbs and then admitted he never used the disenchanting mechanic. He also said that respecing the character is too expensive and then admitted he gambled all his gold away, while Johnathan was listening to all that and then had to explain that he's supposed to disenchant, buy blues from the vendor and then regal them.

This is a legit case of entitlement. A huge streamer feels that since he's a POE1 expert he doesn't have to learn the new game and figure out the new systems.
so, Maybe you're the last player left, and GGG's revenue depends on you

nope, it gives dmg only if I'm on top of them. Presence radius is tiny. + already bored pressing chaos poisons on each enemy, nope thx, what about just make minions normal?
And not pretending 0.2 did not f***d up a lot of things, that's why it got deserved bad reviews rating in steam

There are presence nodes and presence items.
Presence can easily be scaled to the size larger than your screen and then Unholy Might scales with your mana to something like +80% damage. Also Necromantic Amulet is a thing that exists in the game.

Minions may be pretty weak early, I agree, but we haven't even begun to unpack how broken Lich is. They probably shouldn't have nerfed the Skeleton life at lvl 1, but I'm almost certain that Lich minions will end up being the most powerful build at high end.

I'll bet you your entire stash that Lich minions wont even be close to the top spec in the league.

Yeah, +1 to this. GGG totally overreacted, and all it really did was send the message: “If you complain loud enough, we’ll cave.” Now people know they can push back and get their way, so I wouldn’t be surprised if future patches start following the same pattern. Bit by bit, all the hard edges that made the game challenging are gonna get sanded down—and before you know it, we’ll all be able to Netflix and chill while playing.

The same influencer who was screaming at Johnathan for not giving him enough orbs in act1 also said he wants to play HARDCORE with a movie on the second monitor.

Omg. Enjoy the game now because people like him will run it into the ground in no time. And GGG? Idk. They're sending the wrong message for sure. Getting bullied by an impatient man child in changing your game is a major L.
I dont agree but I'm not interested in arguing about why there has been such a negative response to 0.2, players have agency beyond what a streamer says, and clearly GGG have the metrics to show that there are a number of pain points that they are actively addressing.

I also do not believe for a second that GGG can be 'bullied' into making sweeping changes a day after an interview with a streamer, even one as large in the community as Zizaran.

I also think its very funny how many people are going on at Zizaran when largely he's very positive about the game and rarely has strong negative feedback about any major patch.

And once again, I would suggest the expectation when introducing a new class is a large number of players will want to try it out, for as many viewers as streamers have, its only a small proportion of the close to 300k just on Steam who logged in to play 0.2.

Bro, you read my first msg?
I'm not asking how to do x or y, I'm telling you, that something is not balanced and not ok. You can play meta not problem, but do not close eyes on non meta skills and classes. Hp issues? skeletons f***p totally. Even devs on interview told it few times. So do not be surprised, that players who tried non meta builds got different results and didn't like current state of game.

With investment any build can work, I'm speaking about starting campaign from scratch. Which aura presence items u speaking about? XD This comes
a bit later.
100% agreed.

I think a PTR would’ve mostly stopped this outcry. It would’ve been a few videos with constructive criticism to help GGG prepare last balance changes for the season, rather than the outcry now about everything being too weak/too difficult.

Ultimately, they’re all blasting maps with lightning zon now, even before any buffs

You should watch the latest interview and read the patch notes.
0.2e is literally Zizaran's wish list word for word. He said nerf the werewolves - they nerfed the werewolves, he said i don't have sockets - they added artificer's orbs, he said make bleed work on ES and they did it. They straight up bent and given him every single thing that he asked for.

I laughed so hard when this came up.
