Last Epoch New Season 2 Release

They are changing their release date and they called out GGG LMAO.

lol can't wait for the fanboys to come defend GGG in full force.

This is shameful behavior for a company. GGG actually is speed running their own downfall.

I will say its bullshit move if GGG moves their date forward now to match EHG date.

Until then I dont care.

If they do, GGG will forever have a stain on them in my mind. A lot of good will would be lost that instant. It would mean GGG rather resorts to dirty tricks than trust the game they made.

But I hope this doesnt happen.
GGG announced first actually.
I went to check.

EHG and GGG posts about their patches appear to be on the same date (on their forums, if any earlier information exists, I did not notice it or was being blind). I did not compare at what time on that day they were made, but I dont think it matters.

Unfortunately they both released information on the same date.

Which still means, I don't care if GGG (being the larger company) doesn't make any extra moves.

EHG made a good move to change their patch date. I have patience to wait a bit.
sad
Last Epoch is death game:
- Indie Game crap
- lack of updates
- poor servers
- poor multiplayer
- poor graphics (full raster...Jesus we live in XIX century...)

They try resurrect this game, but company is too small to do something with sense and compete with GGG or Blizzard

It's not my native language, but wouldn't "calling out GGG" imply pointing out negative behaviour (malice)? For example, some people accused GGG of setting their release date to harm EHG.
Couldn't find anything in EHG's announcement that would confirm that they think GGG did it for "crush the competitor" reasons.

Ppl wouldn't need to "defend GGG" if others would be honest and don't fabricate agendas based on subjective views without actual evidence supporting their argument.
The only evidence "attackers" have is - that GGG and EHG releases are close together, that's it.

Why is it shameful? Because both have a game in the same genre and compete with each other? Because the release date is close to each other?

EHG had 9 months to deliver a new update and GGG didn't want to go beyond 4 months because they are normally faster but couldn't be faster.
That's just unfortunate and not shameful.

All this nonsensical drama... if you are more interested in the LE update, play LE. If you are more interested in the PoE2 update, play PoE2. That simple.
This "pitchfork and torch" stuff is mainly fueled by content creators who are mad that they cannot fully farm both communities to their full extent.

It looks like LE dropped their Apr 2 date on Jan 31, which would be notibly before GGG's info as far as I can tell.

GGG's announcements say "no exact timeline" on Feb 6, and "We expect 0.2.0 in approx. one month" on Feb 20. It looks like they intended to release 1-2 weeks before LE's update, but had to push stuff back because they were still unrealisticly optimistic regarding time.
A two week delay isn't going to change anything about the ARPG playerbase. A season/league isn't over in 2 weeks for the vast majority of players.

Such a delay should allow an expanded development/bug-fix cycle, which will be a boon for eventual LE season 2 participants. It'll also provide a solid window where streamers won't have a split attention. These are both wholly positive for EHG. What revenue are they expecting from the Season 2 launch?
Honestly the release dates don't even matter unless GGG addresses some serious issues with PoE2.

Adding new content doesn't matter if the game just pigeonholes everyone into the same blaster gameplay for an already boring endgame.

Last Epoch already has way more build diversity, much better endgame progression and even more coming with their update, a more stable client that doesn't crash all the time/melt people's computers for no reason, extremely good take on crafting, and much more interesting itemization than we have in PoE2

Things can really go south for GGG if they fumble this.

Plus there's No Rest For The Wicked, which took an arpg/souls-like concept and absolutely nailed it, which PoE2 really missed the mark on unfortunately in its current state
