Last Epoch New Season 2 Release

There are so many POE/2 players in Last Epoch I was shocked I brought it couple of days ago. It's so fkn smooth, melee is so well done. Nicer graphics and things like - inventory sort, tap a button to move all crafting materials a fkn pop up combat log to show you WHAT KILLED YOU and by what attack.. like honestly 13+ years going in POE and still they dont have basic shit like that? It's fucking unreal. Oh you can also pick up 1 item and it'll auto pick up all the scraps/shards rather than clicking 4,000 breach splinters etc. Can't fucking believe people defend POE for the shit they don't have.

Glad they moved dates so they don't class so I can login to 0.2 and see all the things they still haven't done. 3 years ago druid/spear videos were shown on YouTube... 3 years bro lmao.

How much money do you people expect GGG to willingly throw away on behalf of their competitors, just to maintain good faith with a community that will criticize them no matter what they do? Should they postpone their updates for an entire month? There are POE2 players who want to play POE2 and don't need to bounce around between games and it would piss me off quite a bit if they were delaying content that i could be playing just to throw a bone to another studio. I don't understand what you mean by "throw away money" the initial game is paid for but the money goes into stash tabs etc so in theory the game is free meaning delaying it wouldn't cost them anything and it's not like they could lose anymore player base it's already basically just bots, 2 goats and a couple of bro's who have faith.

I personally have no issues with companies doing the release same time it makes for good competition. I just wanted to point out that your comment about throwing money away makes no sense in a free to play game.

I've played Poe1 since beta, so like 12-13 years and played Poe2 since it was dropped minus a few weeks due to internet. Poe2 so far, not a vibe. Everyones going to like games for different reasons. I love Poe1 its fkn fun. Poe2 though looking back 3 years at vids of druids and spears and still not seeing them, watching how the games degraded in just 3 months from slow/methodical to zoom zoom, it's got no direction right now and hopefully it gets better over the next year. Pumped a lot of money into packs and cosmetics and shit over the years on my actual account.

If you spend time and money paying people to work on something, you get no return on that investment until the thing they were working on gets released. When the update drops, player count will surge. There will be more MTX purchases, more EA purchased, and more discussion of the game. A month of wasted time just to do another studio a favour (one which cannibalizes their own demographic) is just silly.

The game is free to play and yet the studio still makes a ton of money. I would have thought the answer is pretty obvious.

It won't bring many new players it'll just have people coming back to check the changes, they won't buy anything new they've already brought it. Minimal new cosmetics at a guess and if they're doing that then hey, there's your real answer they just want money and don't care the the games in such a shit state.

This game doesn't have its full roster of characters and ascendancies during early access and you already know that that is coming to the game eventually. Another completely pointless argument. Enjoy your D4-esque skill twig.

Last Epoch exist because GGG and Blizzard never listened to players. Their guiding philosophy is make it player friendly, not ignore the quality of life features and respect the players time. Things GGG has missed in every aspect of POE1 and 2.

It is going to lack some of the polish a bigger studio can pull off but who cares how good the animations are when you can only play 3 builds.

I like "Last Epoch" and think it's decent, but glazing it when your argument against PoE is "only 3 builds playable" is... weird because it's really far from reality, while LE isn't perfect either.

I mean, it's kind of true though...

Every "good" build is literally just blowing up the entire screen instantly with a select few abilities out of the entire pool of skills. Who cares how they do it, the gameplay is exactly the same.

80% of the skills are quite literally useless

Nobody is saying LE is perfect, but they're sure as hell a lot more open with their community, respond to community feedback, and are actually trying to innovate and make their game more fun for their player base.

A lot of PoE2's systems clearly did not have fun as a concern when making them
