almost no one who trades actually trades in a campaign, they finish the game and start playing endgame before ever trading.

players who dont want to trade but do want to party with their friends and occasionally share loot cannot play in ssf, but they are also no benefitting from trading in the economy.

all these people are self found, none of them are in ssf, the game balance must function for all of them.





if you force players into a single player game where they cant even invite friends to play with them you break down the community and social fabric that tied poe1 together and kept it going for 12 years. its a terrible idea. all single player arpgs just die.

you want the game to be balanced around not trading? good, poe1 was 99% balanced around not trading, poe2 should be balanced around not trading as well, just balance the game for self found and then accept that trading will always lead to some players being stupidly overpowered because as long as trade exists that is inevitable no matter what you do because the potential profit difference between occasionally buying 1 item to fix your resists in maps and being belton who can make a few mirrors every day is 1,000x greater than the difference between being average and being amazing at the game in a self found setting. you cant ever balance that.
