Dear GGG: You NEED to watch this video! I cannot emphasize this enough! WATCH THIS!

I actually want pinnacle bossing (map bosses are whatever) to be meaningful by force. What I mean is I hope GGG rethinks how they make and scale bosses. I hope they figure out a way to force people to do pinnacle boss mechanics and scale the bosses HP/damage so that you have to do them, no one shots no matter what. Even if you have a 8 mirror build, when you go into that pinnacle boss its at least a minute or two vs. a second or two.

ya for sure.

they dont want the bosses to be like that either, they repeatedly state that is not what they want. we will have to see what they end up doing and keep making the case for it to be better. all the main content creators are saying the same thing, no one should be instakilling bosses. hardly anyone actually wants bosses to take a few seconds for anyone.

if they get the balance right or not is to be seen.

whats wrong tho is pretending they want bosses to be instantly nuked, that that is how all of poe1 plays and that is intended. none of those things are true and i dont think it really helps the conversation to pretend otherwise.

there is a thing too where if people are in softcore trade playing the market into 1000 divine builds and then saying my games too easy... come on. youre an expert player, other expert players who want the game to be challenging are playing in ssfhc.

ive got loads of stupid mirrored gear in poe1. is that how i play leagues in poe1? no i play mostly self found now days. am i trading in poe2? no im self found. am i following a meta build guide? no im making my own builds.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
They said they want end game boss fights to last 1-3 mins. The only way to achieve this will be removing a lot of broken player power.
the problem is not only bosses, is mapping, its very unappealing and boring to blast trough maps aoeing everything with no challenge and have incredible powerful builds that oneshot two screens.

We had that for years with poe 1 and the playerbase sinked.
It really bugs me the fact that once i ended campaign (which they already dumbed down and nerfed) i found myself instantly back to poe1, thats when i stopped playing.

what a shame
Having 2 PoE games based purely around min maxing AoE spam where everything is balanced around doing nothing but AoE spam is so poggers and cool I can't wait to be able to skip playing 2 PoE leagues at once.

Just make endgame a ng+ with higher level harder campaign, give bosses better AI/new moves and do that until level 100 and then a lv100 ng+ with 100+ enemies.

D3 did that with Inferno on start. It was actually very good and drew huge attention - because it was a) a real challenge b) a challenge you could actually progress through steps by steps and finally beat it. Yes, later WoW-newcomers started to whine massively and so D3 was turned into a coockie clicker, but first several months it was much more interesting to play than any time after. And D3 didn't invent something here - it just followed D2 formula with Hell difficulty. Most memorable combat moments and best boss fights were there.

Inferno was trash and only a maniac would think otherwise. The problem with inferno was that the gear that was necessary to survive in inferno only dropped in inferno and it basically never dropped at all due to rates set, like poe does, around trade.

The problem with D3 pre-inferno nerf and PoE1 and 2 is that, by orders of magnitude, the most efficient way to play the game is to not play the game but to play AH/trade site.

Thanks for sharing OP.

Watched it pragmatically on 2x or so at various spots -- he makes some decent points overall yes agreed overall.

I know nothing about D3 and inferno mode myself, but the most efficient way to play PoE is to also not play the game and play AH/trade lol.

Nobody forces you to play like that. You could use small damage skills with no aoe in SSFHC and enjoy yourself.

What are you talking about the game literally forces you to play that way. Small damage skills with no aoe in SSFHC sounds like the fastest way to get sent back to standard next to running no resistances
