Hi everyone,
Please keep in mind the forums are for civil, constructive discussion of the game, and avoid personally attacking, and antagonising, one another as it breaches our rules. Need help with something? Feel free to email us: support@grindinggear.com

bro is probably running 40% fire res and complaining about one death per map like the majority of the users on this forum
or he wants a 'chill' game where he can brain off and get dopamine from drops. This forum is a dumpster fire and the poe1 community is such crap. If you go on the poe2 subreddit you have nothing but positivity but this.. | |
Says a guy that has only played one league in PoE1.

" i can tell you how they managed to do this in acts. by gating and restricting nearly everything. its kinda easy to balance the acts if players only have access to low level gear, only a few skills to chose from, that have about 1 or 2 supports that are gated too. skill levels are gated on acts, you cannot get a level higher if youre not progressing into the next act where its gated again. while you possibly could level a gem to lvl 20 in act 1 of poe1, in poe2 its not allowed. to reduce possible power gains even more, talent tree nodes are weaker. acts are a controlled environment without freedom youre railroaded through, thats why it feels "balanced". the moment you leave act 3, the balance railroad starts to brick cause of missing acts and more skills being available. thats why act 4 to 6 feeling like a joke. and after that, all hell breaks lose. thats disappointing in every way. the biggest strenght of poe1 is that i can build what i want the way i want. i can run the map i want with the content i want. i have freedom in every way possible, the freedom to build insane stuff, and also the freedom to fail. in poe2 it feels like the freedom is gone for the sake of nothing. " Lost half the players after a month and one of the biggest live service games is releasing next month which will siphon the remaining non diehard arpg fans, it is a terrible situation. PoE2 cannot function as a live service if it has the same audience since development costs are now higher having to keep 2 games up for the same audience with shared mtx. GGG shot themselves in the foot thinking "d4 bad" carries their game to mainstream success. |

" Release of EA => december 6, 2024 today's date => January 14, 2025 do you need me to send you a calendar my friend? More like 5 and a half weeks. From Sunday, December 08 (peak) to Sunday, January 12 (5weeks), the number of players went from 578,569 to 291 148 (less 287 421 in value, so -49,68%). that seems pretty substantial for a game with so much expectation, so many streamers committed to its advertising and online marketing.
