Good luck guys, I've uninstalled.
" Well if you look at Steam player numbers, estimate Xbox player numbers, look at Twitch and YouTube views and the sales that Blizzard is giving out it's not hard to conclude that Diablo 4 is doing pretty bad compared player wise to PoE2. The sentiment on D4 is also very bad same with Blizzard. Diablo 4 has 5k players now on Steam and isn't in the top 50 played games on Xbox in the US or UK, it is even below Halo: Infinite which is considered a dead game by many. Sure PoE2 is new, but this player retention is very bad for such a big game as Diablo 4. Last edited by BesottedOrb#0064 on Jan 15, 2025, 10:32:16 AM

" You dont even know what the term sunk-cost fallacy means, but use it every time. Sunk-cost fallacy means, that people make irrational decisions, once they have paid for something. It applies for investments like stocks, relationships etc. Things, where you expect a profit at the end. Example: People tend to keep stocks, even when the stock value already dropped by 90%, believing it will rise again. Or relationsships, when people stay in a relationship, even though its bad since 20 years. They can't let go, because they've "invested" so much in the relationship and still think, it will get better. This theory doesn't apply for something like a game. You don't gain any profit if you keep playing the game and you can't lose anything if you quit the game early. " You do know, that EVERY game has players that liked or disliked the game in the end? That's the reason why games never have 100% positive review on steam. What matters is: What does the majority think. Lets take a look at it: Nearly 90.000 players have reviewed PoE2 on steam. And this is an extremely huge number for a game with paid entrance. I mean, REALLY huge. 82% of the players gave this game a positive review, which means that more then 4/5 of the playerbase actually likes the game. And this is really good, because it's EA and many things are missing or are not balanced yet. So this number will very likely rise once the game is finished. And now lets take a look at SteamDB: ![]() These are really really good numbers. First of all, having over half a million players at launch is something other games can only dream off. Secondly, the game has still 160k active players right now. If this game would be so bad, the playerbase would already be close to 0. This slow decrease of players is absolutely natural and you don't see a sudden "cut off" in the charts. And within the last 24 hours, we had a 240k peak. That's really good. Now lets take a look at Helldivers 2: ![]() All time peak from last year is 450k. And now the playerbase is at 40k. Hmmm... So Helldivers 2 is also a bad and non-successful game I guess? Like I said, you don't have any statistics, it's just about what you "feel" is right. And that's usually wrong. Last edited by AceNightfire#0980 on Jan 15, 2025, 10:31:48 AM

Recommend coming back in few weeks/months.
I also am on a break after ~300h, just mostly checking the changes and patchnotes. I skip most early access games even if I want to play the full release. It is basically work in progress state and players are testing it. For the same reason I didn't leave any reviews on Steam and wont until it's released. Hope at least by the release the melee with armor will get better (personally dislike warrior playstyle, but want to main templar/duelist). |

This thread is absolutely pathetic. It's filled with crybabies vying for GGG's attention.
Everyone would like their litte pet peeve to be fixed in the next hour, but it can't happen. And let's be honest here, some of the little entitled queens who think their opinion is the only valid one (like OP), are definitively not helping the devs come up with balanced and fun solutions for as many people as possible. Having an opinion is fine, even a shity one, but when you start acting like only you matters, that's when your opinion becomes nearly meaningless. TLDR : changes take time, EA gives GGG massive data to see how people act IN THE GAME and not only what some forum warriors (pr streamers) are saying. |

it doensn't matter.
RMTers will keep this game running and being fund forever. the more annoying and stressful the more people RMT to skip grinds. look at some small streamers in HC Trade with literally hundreds of divs. Every reset will be a new ''market'' for RMT. their bussiness model is not meant for normal persons get anywhere by themselvez and will never be. Bots and RMTers will keep buying EA and premium stashes this entire EA. that's all that matters. they can be lazy and out of touch as much as they want. the money is here |

" I think sunk cost fallacy does apply to some games, I've had to catch myself doing it, but it's with gambling type games like FIFA and I imagine diablo immortal has it in spades. That feeling of "I have half a good team, I spent $100 on it, that $100 is wasted unless I spend another $100 and hope I get the other half of the good team" I think you're right that it doesn't apply to PoE though, beyond the first $30 there's no benefit to spending money on top of what you've already spent, and "I have to play the game because I spent money on it" is not a sunk cost |

I was disappointed by the interview in some ways. There's major problems with various things but they didn't seem that concern.
