Good luck guys, I've uninstalled.
" Well, now it's just semantics and I'm not here to change your definition, I wasn't correcting yours. But I don't consider sunk cost to be an issue in poe as there is nothing to make you spend more than $30 in game. Bit of sugar addiction with regards to MTX but this game does not have the kind of predatory practise that tries to keep its claws in you playing on your mind making you invest more and more Doesn't even do that with time due to league resets, the contract there is for a few months at most |
|
" GGG apologists do exist, simple as, and it seems they are way more hardcore than Blizzard or Bethesda ones. I remember reading one earlier where he claimed the persons feedback was worthless because they never spent a dime on the game. |

" Lol, and what about guys like me with 600$? Guess reply'll be along the lines " get gud and shut up " |
|
" lmaoo probably |

" Sunk Cost Fallacy means, that people don't want to give up their investment. And why did people invest in something? Because they expected a profit in the end. It always comes down to it: Stick with something you have invested in, because you once thought it will pay out. That's why people can't sell their stocks, even if they dropped by 90% already. That's why people can't give up a relationship, even though only conflicts are going on. That's why people can't give up a company, even though the analysis has shown it will write red numbers in the end. There is this false irrational hope of not having wasted your investment that lets you keep going. But what about PoE2? Where is this "investment"? We're are talking about 30$ for most of the players. And there is no long term goal here, only the short term goal of enjoying the game as it is right now. Do you really think the investment is so big, that people would actually keep playing the game, even though it's not fun for them? Do you really think they sit there and think "I paid 30$ for that, so I have to keep playing now!". No, definitely not. People drop games quite fast if they are no fun to them, even if people have paid for the game. |

" Rewatch plz that part of the video. Yes they were laughing becasue Darth said it in a funny way, but what he said at the end was "I suppose i cant disagree with that statement" acknowledging the warrior is atm underwhelming. Also before when talkign about the warrior they said (i might be slighlty paraphrasing at times) "The warrior in the campaign feels right, but it doesnt scale as well as other classes, its part of this massive balance recalibration (that we will be working on)" So they acknowledge the warrior isnt as good, and plan to make changes. So why do you write it as they laughed and thats all, like they dont plan to do anything about it? Its just false. Last edited by FireStorm1010#8675 on Jan 15, 2025, 3:33:56 PM

" Because those people only perceive information that fits into their narrative, completely losing objectivity. It's ver selective. And that's why you can't discuss with them politely. They are so angered, because in their world, GGG messed up, laughed everything off and they don't know what they're doing. In reality, the last patch did tweak some real issues, they have announced that they couldn't change certain other things because it needs more time and they gave honest answers... Except warrior doesn't feel good in the campaign. I've leveled 3. Once you try Ranger, Monk, Sorc...*anyone else*...it feels massively better.
Now the concern is if they think warrior feels good then are they going to change all the other classes to match that feel? I think their approach was to quickly move off topics they don't want to discuss or to "put their foot down" on topics that obviously the community is in an uproar about(1 portal, xp loss, etc). While distracting with a "but look, you can try endgame bosses more than once to learn it now!". Great, guess I still need to do 150 hours of maps to get that attempt though. Towers are bad for many reasons and their fix is to add more tower maps? Players are still gonna dump a T1 in and run to the finish line to get the actual value. Especially after slogging through 5 massive maze maps to reach it. How is this a solution? I think the interview had some good, some unaddressed, and some bad. And their attitude overall seemed off. Like player feedback didn't matter if it was an opinion that differed from their "everyone plays hardcore" vision. Bugs, actual problems, etc they seemed interested in fixing. What about trade? Seems pretty central to every character and the entire system is balanced around it...so why is it so bad? Especially when solutions to the problems were implemented by other games before PoE1 was even released. |

" Yes. $30 is a lot of money for a lot of people. "buff grenades"
- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) |
|
" I disagree. I played so far both warrior and Sorceress till act 3, and imho warrior is more fun for me. It might be harder, and weaker but its also more fun for me (lets not confuse fun with power). The Sorceseress is also fun in a way, but i find her second to second combat more spammy, less fun. Witht he warrior you got to react much more to whats happening. |
