Good luck guys, I've uninstalled.
" Wrong. Some games out there cost 70€ and only offer 30-80 hours of gametime, while others are free or cost almost nothing (5-10$) and you can spent hundreds of hours in these games. People pay for enjoyment, not for the time they can spent inside of the game. I rather play a game that gives me 10 hours of enjoyment and pay 50€ for that, instead of playing a game that offers me 1000 hours of gametime but I dont enjoy any minute of it. I'd say, most players in PoE2 had their fun now. Did the acts or reached endgame. They spent 200 hours and are done with it for now. They will surely come back, like it always was the case with PoE1. And lets not forget, that PoE2 is also a free game. You only paid for EA, but that's your choice, not GGGs. |

your argument has nothing to do with the topic of discussion, you compared poe 1 to poe 2 earlier and I'm saying that people will be more likely to invest more time in poe 2 compared to poe 1 because they bought it, thus it should have higher retention than poe 1
this is a very basic example of sunk-cost fallacy and perceived value poe 2 isn't free, it will be free. almost everyone who's playing right now has bought it. personally I got it for free since I spent some money on poe 1, but I'm probably in the minority " for sure. lots of people had their fun and stopped playing for now, but undoubtedly, there are also lots of people who didn't have much fun and quit playing out of frustration. it's disingenious to say that "most" people who quit playing simply had their fun and are waiting for a major update "buff grenades"

" "GGG spent ten years creating the greatest ARPG, so they don't need to look at feedback or let players teach them how to make games." This kind of white-knight rhetoric is the most laughable, especially considering that just two days ago, they openly admitted that they didn't know ES in this game—launched a month ago—couldn't be affected by bleed. They even thought Bleed HoG was some kind of historically overpowered nuclear weapon. I originally thought Mark and Jonathan's shock regarding ES/bleed was already the most ridiculous part of the entire interview, but your blind fanboy comments surpass their level of absurdity by far. |

While I'm not quite as pessimistic, I still see how GGG appears very stubborn about their decisions. They even talked earlier about all the solutions Last Epoch had to SSF and crafting and then took 0 lessons from it. So now we don't have any incentive to play SSF (unless you're a masochist or just deeply hate trading like me) and no crafting at all (just gambling with orbs).
Nobody really likes the ascendancy mechanics, yet no talk about fixing or replacing them. Nobody likes on death effects, yet no mention about them. MF is so overpowered, it's practically mandatory, yet Jonathan said it's mostly just fine. I really love the WASD and move-while-attacking, the game looks amazing, bosses are mostly great, but the vision for the future isn't making me too optimistic. |

Love to see how basic comprehension of information is too hard for 80% of the people on this forum. Complaining about stuff they do not have the slightest idea about. Either most people on this forum are below 20 years old, have never had a job or live in the US it seems.
I'd love to see you guys make a game and see what kind of shitfest it is. Last edited by BesottedOrb#0064 on Jan 15, 2025, 7:53:50 AM

" Jonathan has bad vibes. Not the kind of guy I would put in an interview let alone make decisions for a company. Last edited by maquino85#7657 on Jan 15, 2025, 7:55:34 AM
