Good luck guys, I've uninstalled.

Excuse me sir, but I don't believe you. And assuming that it is indeed true, then I cannot fathom how you can not understand the process. You sir , sound like an entitled 16 year old who dooms and glooms instead of a functional, stable adult. I hope you take the time and resolve whatever is happening in your life that makes you be like this. And just fyi, when poe1 came out in closed beta, you know, the game everyone loves, it was in a way worse condition. But people forget...

" are you on ayahuasca or something? ggg had passionate gamers when they made path of exile 1, that's how the game grew over the years they no longer have that "buff grenades" - Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) Last edited by auspexa#1404 on Jan 15, 2025, 3:09:36 AM

Literally almost word for word the exact same thing that was being parroted around these forums since the start. It is always doom and gloom. The same as any online gaming forum, whatever game in the world you choose.
Edit: Bear in mind, I am by no means saying the game is perfect as it is and that you do not have a right to raise your issues with it, but the way in which some of the people here raise those issues is, let's say, not very civilized. Last edited by DigiTT#5038 on Jan 15, 2025, 3:05:31 AM

" there are still some passionate PoE1 players out there, but the main problem is that GGG no longer listens closely to our feedback. at some point, they decided that their vision was more correct than the expectations of their community... Communication has also been cut with the base, the departure and non-replacement of BEX being a glaring example. GGG today is no longer the GGG of yesterday, they give the impression of being as close as ever to the players and their games, but no longer listen to our feedback, seem disconnected from the reality that players experience in the game and content themselves with correcting the exploits that are identified. with only a few minor changes that don't alter the substance of the various problems raised by the community. |

" I hope so. Tho, looking at the forum doesn't seem like it. I've tried, I have 200 hours |

Also uninstalled - mainly because I need the space on my computer. I think the changes required to make the endgame engaging are going to be a long time coming. I won't check back in till 1.0 which I'm hoping isn't for a year at least to give them plenty of time to improve the crafting, loot and skill systems. If they managed to get rid of boomzoom from endgame and deliver the vision as stated (slowerpace and meaningful skill combos) I would be pleasantly surprised!

" ‘You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain…’ Unfortunately, that is the reality of modern devs. They all end up the same. GGG forgot that PoE1, in its first steps, was below average, and community feedback is what made PoE1 great. They need to pull their heads out of that self-confidence limbo, or they will see their own fall, just like we see with every other company that became big. I am old enough to remember the times when Blizzard, Activision, EA, etc., were the names everyone was looking up to. Every single of their releases was a masterpiece. Now? Every release is a massive hype train that quickly turns into a massive wreck. Last edited by Volonur#0219 on Jan 15, 2025, 5:11:27 AM

" You always say "I believe" or "I'd say". It's completely your own opinion and there are no statistics or any information that gives your opinions any solid ground. On the other side, we know from all the games out there, that long exptected games with a big hype ALWAYS have a huge playerbase at the start and then it declines. That's not a sign of a bad game, it just shows that people had their fill with the game. " What are you talking about? Just because people have paid 30$, they should play more? If people are through the content, they are through. It doesn't matter if the game cost nothing or 100$. Simple example: If I buy Cyberpunk 2077 and finish it after 30 hours, I'm done with it. If a friend gives me the game as a present, I will still only play it for 30 hours. It doesn't matter if I have paid something or not. So yes, I can compare it to PoE1 (or any other game with limited content). PoE is no MMORPG, like I've said before. " You're quite arrogant, you know? Thinking that PoE1 only got great because of community feedback. Talking like the community actually has developed the game. GGG had a vision, they brought out an early version of PoE1 and then kept developing the game. Yes, some changes were made thanks to community feedback, but other changes were done just by GGG themselves. That's how online games are developed. Thinking that the community is the one that was responsible for making the gameplay great is a big and false exaggeration. Last edited by AceNightfire#0980 on Jan 15, 2025, 5:58:25 AM

We don't need statistics, we know most of the players quit before making it to maps in poe 1, so why would it be different in poe 2 where the campaign takes more time to finish?
" yes? free games always have a steeper decline, and people spend more time on the games they bought. it's the most basic form of sunk-cost fallacy " how did you reach that conclusion from my statement? can we stop with the straw mans? " True, POE2 is a perfect example of this. Most of the EA tends to be this way in 2025 |
