DM and Ghazzy asked many amazing questions, yet all of them were dodged.
"We will need to investigate"
"Soon"
"We haven't checked"
People defend GGG with "GGG has the data, they know what they're doing".
According to them in this interview, they have no data about anything.
So that doesn't really hold up anymore.
The worst part was them defending Rarity.
Droprates are balanced around Rarity. Rarity is a mandatory stat. You will get absolutely no Orbs without Rarity.
Implying that blue orbs are as exciting a drop as Exalts was wild.
They were completely clueless about how their own game mechanics work (Rarity, CI), and even when Ghazzy explained it to them, they still dismissed it, alongside all the other feedback they straight up dismissed for the few cases their answer wasn't "I don't know":
Rarity and droprates being balanced around it is a problem? Dismissed.
Movement speed being more common or implicit? Dismissed.
Lower tier affixes being too common when rolling higher tier items? Dismissed.
Crafting = slot machine? Dismissed, because "deterministic not good"?
So what was all the hype for? To tell us you can replace Runes now? Okay.
The whole interview was Ghazzy and DM talking to a wall.
It's giving "Do you not have phones?"
It is bewildering to me how anyone would find this interview positive.
Did you post this same thing in 2 separate forums?

Y'all always say "Trust GGG, GGG has the data".
In this interview, they answered the majority of the questions with "We don't know" (= "We do, in fact, have no data")
And you're still jumping through hoops to defend them.

rarity is kinda useless since majority of the items will still be crap with limited crafting options
but they can continue selling EA keys for a whole of 2025 without a full release, that's for sure

Ghazzy had to explain to them how Rarity works, and they still dismissed him.
Where are you getting this utter nonsense from?
Nowhere in that interview did he have to explain to them how rarity works.
He explained how from his viewpoint rarity affecting currency was similar to how quantity worked in poe1. Which they partly disagreed with (correctly) because it doesnt drop more items, but if you only care about the high end currency drops then it has the same effect.
So actually the opposite is true, he explained how he tought rarity was affecting poe2 similar to how quantity affected poe1, and then they corrected him.
At no point did they need for him to explain it to them.
Him elaborating his question (both for the audience and to give a clear question) doesnt mean that they needed the mechanic explained to them. They know how rarity works much better then he does, their sitting on the actual formula.

They seamed to be unaware of a bug that didnt let you proc bleed on es, which they immedietly conceded on and said would get fixed.
This was a bit weird, I felt like they didn't understand or had forgotten something.
If ES doesn't prevent bleed, surely Chaos Innoculation is dead? Unless you accept dying immediately to every randomised bleed enemy.
Or is there some other way to survive with CI and no ES?

Rarity affects the type of orbs you're getting.
Transmutations = useless, abundant, of no value.
Exalts / Regals / Divines = useful.
So yes, you do get more (quantity).
Stating otherwise implies that Transmutations have the same value as Exalts, and that's not really a basis to have a discussion on.

Yes that was weird. Because they said it was supposed to go trough energy shield. Which would work poorly for CI builds I gather xD

Absolute L take here. I thought the interview was fantastic. It was 2 hours long. How many developers are going to sit down for two freaking hours with content creators and answer 100 community questions some which they go into great depth. They are transparent and honest. If they needed more time to look into something they admittedly said they needed more time. There was so much promising feedback that I walked away after listening to that interview with a huge smile on my face.
Some of you guys are unbelievable and its crazy how much of the community is little princess gen z I want everything my way and I want it noooow!
Huge W GGG. One of the best devs out that and I have been very vocal with my criticism.
Would agree very big W on GGG
Op can try something else if it’s not something they like this badly
