Trading... do we all really need to suffer this?
|
I imagine there must be more people than just me who don't even want to trade. And even if I wanted to, going to a website outside the game to search for items, then search for the seller in game, messaging them and waiting for reply and then praying not to get scammed is asking a bit much.
Why not make SSF an actual fun option? Last Epoch already found a solution which allows loot boost and target farming for SSF players. It's not perfect, but at least not trading doesn't mean you can't progress at an acceptable pace. Right now everything is balanced around trade (and the economy is screwed, especially for casuals) and going SSF is pure masochism. Last bumped on Jan 12, 2025, 2:34:18 PM

Agreed. I kinda hate that I have to trade to play the game. If I could play SSF and know that I have a decent chance to find my own gear that'd be great. I don't think I've crafted or found any loot on any of my 5 characters post level 40-ish.

Completely agreed. We need an SSF option with boosted loot and targeted farming.
But with the current design team, I doubt that will happen. They seem intent on designing a game that will be abandoned by the majority of their players within 6 months. |

" They won't do it that because you can migrate characters. It has nothing to do with the "current design team" or their philosophies in design choice. It just makes sense. The economy will take time to balance out. SSF is perfectly fine. We don't "need" boosted anything. You play SSF by your own choice and if you play it long enough, you don't have the issues you face in trade anyway. Just play more. Simple. Last edited by l_Caxius_l#7930 on Jan 9, 2025, 8:30:39 PM

" Maybe try what you claim. Because you can't. So they actually have a choice right now: -Enable migration as in PoE1 or -improve SSF But we all know they are too thick-headed to do the latter. |
|
" Maybe read between the lines you donut. There is a literal button labeled "League Migrations" in character selection. When you press it, it states "There are no available leagues to migrate progress from". What does this tell you? We can indeed migrate as we could in POE1, but because there are no active leagues in POE2 the option is not yet available. |

I have been playing according to the game rules, but I don't know if this terrible trading system caused me to be banned. This is not a single player game and requires an interactive trading system

" Hilariously the lead developer claimed the broken, band-aid mechanic they added to POE 1 to allow trading was MEANT to cause "friction", lol. I'm not joking. This game is going to be as much of a mirror image of all the mistakes they made in POE 1 as the second half of both POE 1 and POE 2 are of the first half of both games. As a consumer I won't accept this in 2025. If they don't fix this I will not engage with poe2 personally. I was already told by these developers that gamers wouldn't accept trade the way it is and he's right. it's esoteric and frankly makes the game look low budget

" No. It doesn’t make sense. This is a video game. They can change or do anything. Besides the fact that it doesn’t matter, they can disable migration. The trade system is absolute trash. Ssf isn’t a fun way to play because the loot is designed for a trade economy. |
