I would agree this is something for ssf or hard-core, but for trade league this is a toxic thing to exist.

It's litterally a tool for the rich become richer.

This at one point wasn't as bad (d2 days) but now people have made playing their life.

As these people sink 100's of hours get the best gear and flood the market it makes trading directly harder for the more casual players.

Time already rewards them for playing more this is just a reward multiplier for streamers/bots.

actually that`s just FOMO introduced by Zizzaran and his friends
and the Quantity bonus introduced by Party play ... that you probably seen Empyrian's team playing with ... but reality is that rarity it`s not broken as they make it sound or look ... I played with 500-600 rarrity and had streaks of 4-5 maps in a row where i was leaving the map with 2 exalts ...I had streak of maps with 2-3 breaches where I was leaving the map with 4-5 exalts ..that is not breaking anything ... ther`s a cap at 100-150 don`t know exactly and everything after that is somewhat useless... what you see when you look at Empyrian is actually 600% quantity bonus for currency from party bonus combined with 100-150 Quantity bonus from tablets ... and propper juiced maps because 6 players and 3 traders can afford to invest in a map almost unlimited resources.... yeah they are juicing ...

don`t believe everything you hear from streamers ... Quantity is the big offender here ... not rarity

Kindly dont assume where i hear things from. I do not watch poe streamers. I do however see the dumb league prices soar whenever my friends tell me X player is running these items.

I have always hated rarity in these games for my aforementioned statements.

So take your presumptuous anecdotal crapfest and shove it where the sun doesnt shine and not invalidate others opinions cuz you wanna try and look big fighting the big bad streamers.

so in that place where the sunt does not shine from where you are comming they did not had education ? Tough man !! feel sorry for you !! but if you going by monkey logic !!! yeah you are right ... tarzan see price high ... tarzan concludes rarrity problem!!! tarzan not listening to reason because tarzan allready made up his mind and tarzan in jungle is always right !! unga bunga !!

get the hell outta here zoomer, just cause your endorphans are fried doesnt mean everyone has to cede to the same instant gratification as you do.
Dont balance on feelings, balance on data

and if you so recall, when I challenged their thinking it just devolved into vibes.

I'm just calling it like I see it. You are being disingenuous while debating and conveniently ignoring genuine design flaws and negative symptoms people have pointed out.

Also, we literally clarified earlier that I personally like less quantity and enjoyed playing without needing a loot filter. You were being dismissive then too. My "endorphans" are not fried like you're projecting them to be.

Of course everything devolves into "vibes". After the math is said and done we are all left with deciding whether the math should even be calculated that way. If you want to call debating whether something should be balanced and calculated one way or another "philosophy" or "vibes" then call it that. Being diminutive of others won't change that they think loot based stat calculations should be mutually exclusive from gear.

The reason to remove it? lessons learned from D3. Even bizz removed it. Mix maxing has to include MF because trading is the only way to find anything you want. Plenty of lessons learned from D2 and 3 that these devs could revisit.

there is a miss conception here about rarrity and quantity ... and what makes them orbs drop like flies ... this is not about the MF in D3 ... it`s about some streamers introducing FOMO in the community ... making the priceses skyrocketing and lying to the casual players about rarrity on gear ... when in reality it was Quantity all along !!

Quantity is definitely the biggest economy slapper 100%! Needs diminished returns to reign in those insane farming strats at the very least.

Additional note: It doesn't help that Rarity in PoE2 has a bunch of weird loot interactions that go beyond just increasing the rarity of dropped items.

In T18 you get your T18 drop, not A1 drop, right? Where is the problem here.

well sir .. sadly .. you don`t because it looks bad the map is full of worthless stuff .. you turn off everything and only pick up currency ... kinda like you do in act 1 , if you remove the MF

Dismissive*
And again, no. No game should be balanced around vibes, its how you get D4.

Get the fuck back here and answer for this absolute lie.
this is exactly what im talking about, you dont even understand what the hell youre talking about that MF was the ditermining factor of a build in DIABLO 2.

Here are my thoughts on rarity. it is a good thing if properly balanced. What I mean is that if a person with less power but more rarity gets good loot and currency within about the same time as someone without rarity or very little rarity on gear then it is properly balanced. This means that if I wanted to have a rarity (magic find) sorceress as my fantasy because I love Diablo 2 and had a magic find sorceress in that game and wanted to recreate that fantasy here then magic find is a good thing. Plus if I wanted other characters that had no magic find but were high crit melee builds then I can do that and still find good items. Right now I am not sure where Magic Find (item rarity) is at. Do they have it properly balanced or not. I think it might need some number tweaks in order to get it in the right place.

let me explain to you in simple therms .. a build with good clear wil allways get more currency than a build with rarrity and bad clear ... that`s it !! now a problem is when you introduce party play ... 6 players each add 100% quantity to currency items , then the tablets in the towers can scale towards 120-150 % quantity and 6 people and 2 traders can also aford to craft expensiv high quantity maps ... now this quantity is multiplicative ... so you end up with alot of it...that`s how loot explosion happens ... rarrity is not the offender ... quantity is .... i had upwords of 640 quantity and the difrence between 120 and 640 wans not really noticeble!!
