you have some great points , but I thing it`s over-complicating it a bit..it would be easier if you could just add them as runes or craft them from the bench .. since you only need like 100-125% rarity, this should not be to hard to achieve ... and if a build can`t spare couple of affixes! when does that build come online ? because in my experience my first gloves with 4 good mods 2 resists , life , attack speed this was 4 not 6 ...was somewhere around lvl 76 ... if a build needs all the affixes ... that kinda sounds verry niche .. or not really a build untill you have 59 out of 60 affixes... that`s rough ! or 54 affixes if using 2handed weapons ... !! anyway moving on !!
great points , good ideeas .. I hope someone from GGG see's this post of yours !!
Increased Armor & Life, ideally hybrid with one of the rolls for armor slot prefixes. Increased Strength and all resists for suffixes (can hardly even get Chaos to roll). Boots need to fit in move speed, gloves need to fit in attack speed and possibly leech/accuracy, accessories need armor & life & strength & resists & sustain mods, weapon needs flat phys & inc phys & hybrid accuracy and damage for prefixes and +skills & sustain & attack speed for suffix. Please advise where I can reliably fit in rarity, especially given how hard I MUST stack Life and Armor in current state of Red side? I'm struggling to handle Tier 12 at nearly 10k armor base and 3k life. For real, I can't just completely ignore two important mods like some CI ES build, three if caster (Life, Chaos resist, Accuracy). Melee/attack builds need more mods to be viable, and to add insult to injury unlike Energy Shield in the passive tree the Red and Green sides don't have any real baked in sustain. ES has Recharge Rate/Start Time while literally no flat leech exists--only leech augments--and there's absolute piss for % or flat life regen (so I require really good sustain mods, too).
I've got room to spare for next to nothing. Fuck magic find up the ass with a rusted, white-hot chainsaw. It needs to be baked into gameplay, NOT be a gear mod. I sure hope they see posts like mine, as well, and take the smarter path. There's a reason screen nuking Deadeyes and Stormcallers and shit exist and its because players tend towards the path of least resistance and it's frustratingly unfair how much such builds can then also enjoy such a positive feedback loop of more reward for so much less risk and effort.

Again Magic find is the reason life/armor are in a bad spot. Hell life wasnt good until pretty recently in PoE1 and it didnt have Magic Find.
So I ask how is MF preventing them from just buffing that defensive layer?
How is MF the reason Deadeyes are popular (spoiler alert, they will always be popular, its always been overtuned)
And dont declare yourself the "smarter" path, that shit is pretentious
"no flat leech exists."
Its on runes..and there is no "flat leech" unless your talking about life on hit which surprise surprise deadeyes excel at using
Why is it a either or?

And again, no. No game should be balanced around vibes, its how you get D4.
Blizzard doesn't balance around anything. Blizzard can't even understand their own game designs.
Tons of very successful games balance around vibes. They just don't copy paste what reddit says when they do it. Players are better at identifying problems then they are at coming up with solutions. Developers ideally find what's causing the source of the problems and rework or re-balance the source in a way that results in better "vibes". If loot gains being overly reliant on gear is a major contributor to "bad vibes" or not is ultimately the only thing that matters in the end.

yet in this instance when its being shown that MF isnt an issue (by the players) that should be ignored because you "feel" its wrong
You are one of the most duplicitous person I've met. So you admit that even if its not true, they need to "rebalance mf" because people FEEL its true, even if again..it isnt

so you think your build needs 45% resistances on all items 7x3x45% you need 945% resistances because to my calculation most build need 380% resistances if they don`t stack max ress and 440% resistances if they stack ress to 90? and every posible hibrid mode ... a build like stat stacker only has 3 rare items ... boots , and rings ... and all the suffixes are attributes on them rares ... that build still manages to get to 100+ rarity if a build with 3 rares can have rarity ... nobody else in the game has any excuse .. ... like ... I don`t know what to tell you but you are deffenetly doing something wrong ... because you only need half of the resistances that you keep taking slots for ... movement speed is a prefix ...arrmour is useless untill they fix it because monsters cand destroy your armour ...and well what`s the point ... you can go couple of points up and use ghost write (get some chaos resistance) and with couple of max es nodes close to you you can triple you EHP ... check out Kriparian ... he justy played 2 Wariors builds back to back on SSF with trash gear ...with the conversion armour trust me

How does item rarity getting out-scaled by item quantity immediately mean that rarity isn't an issue? Just because something doesn't have deadly side effects doesn't mean it's healthy. Rarity is just a force multiplier for other design problems to become even more negative. As such I think it's bad for the game. A net negative.

What the hell kind of words are you trying to shove into my mouth? How is item rarity affecting loot a lie? Did I ever claim it multiplied loot by 1,000% per affix or something nuts? No I didn't and don't try to twist it like I did.
I DID point out that some people don't fully understand a/the problem and what the actual causes of it could be though. In this case people hate the state of loot balance and aren't happy. A lot of people, at least from what I can tell, are somewhat confused and think that out of rarity, quantity and all other farming variables that rarity is the biggest problem. It most likely isn't. That doesn't mean it isn't a contributor and it DOES need to be re-evaluated by the devs.

HOW is it an issue?
THIS WHOLE DISCCUSSION WAS ABOUT RARITY ITSELF BEING OP.
Now the goal post is moved and people still want to blanket blast rarity when its not even the thing thats overperforming!

I cant shove words in your mouth, youre talking out both sides.
"rarity isnt that bad, but it still feels bad and needs to be re-evaluated even though its not the root cause of the problem"
