The silence is deafening
" I guess you don't understand that the holidays were the best time for a lot of us to play the game and would've been happy to see some updates. Nothing happened. No complaints were addressed. Now that we're back to business as usual, why the fuck would I waste my limited game time on PoE2 when nothing was addressed despite having plenty of time during a period when I could actually play? GGG lost a lot of trust during this period. If this was a free game, sure whatever I can wait, but right now I really feel scammed. Release a game, address nothing afterwards during a period where players have a lot of free time to spend on gaming. That's scummy no matter how you look at it. And if you disagree, you should try entering the real world once in a while :) |

GGG devs ain't your friends, you bought a game and not an excuse to empathize with other people...
Tencent actually was involved in poe development, not only they have their own version, they provided things like heist league maps. They also own almost every share of GGG. Not involved, right guys. Kinda not very smart to assume mega corp isn't outsourcing parts of the code to save money either, especially if you claim to be a developer and call GGG a small studio. GGG bragged about expanding the studio with Tencent money for last 3 years. Also we have truly innovative things in poe2 like expedition, never seen before in arpg. I also liked breach, what an surge of adrenaline seeing it for the first time ever. |

" But you realize their release was delayed.. twice this year. And in several countries you need to schedule the vacations 1 year ahead? And the employer CANNOT change it without paying huge fines? It is quite possible they were overconfident in the middle year date and allowed almost all team to schedule for christmas. |

" No, they literally delayed because they ran into issues with the account migration required for PoE2. WTF are you even talking about? They never said anything about it having anything to do with MTX |

Regardless of all this, let's just admit that the timing for this situation is awful. A live service in beta testing needs monitoring, especially at the start.
My biggest concern at this stage being about account hacks that were reported. This is the kind of problems that not only affect the game but can lead to major security issues on player's PC, wich is concerning to say the least. |

The comments that the Devs deserve their time off, and in fact are probably legally entitled to it given where GGG is based is correct. That being said there are so so many issues with this game that need to be fixed. They probably should have delayed quite a bit more and done a few more closed betas.

To all the people telling me to "go f myself";
I didn't ask for a brand new 100% fair, balanced and tested game. I asked for GGG to at the very least take the time to make a written statement about the thoughts and plans going forward, to address the 250.000 people that already quit, and the many that are close to quitting it. Trade is broken, drops are broken, the economy is broken, armor + melee, which they proudly and explicitly said was FIXED before release is completely broken. Btw, I prefer to play melee. My main reason for buying it was to play warrior melee. Not some ES cheat hybrid. If I wanted that I'd play sorcerer. So YES I know it's early access. YES I know people have holidays over xmas. I live in Norway. We aren't "slaves 52 weeks a year" which some morons claim. But we also respect paying customers not to release a broken product and say absolutely nothing for three weeks. How many weeks do YOU want GGG to have off? 4? 5? 10? It would take one person half an hour to write a bit of a response and give us a rough roadmap. And a rough time schedule. That is called basic respect for paying customers. Last edited by eldheim#2436 on Jan 4, 2025, 1:11:29 PM
