GGG glazers will find any excuse to justify devs not doing anything.
I want to play a good game, i dont care about developers and their families, i dont care if they need a break, i dont care if they have a holiday.
I bought a game which i want to work.
Game is mainly reused assets and it still has exact same issues poe1 had, ffs Alva was called Faustus for 2 weeks, way to ctrl c ctrl v latest poe1 league.
Visual clarity has never been this bad in poe1. Delirium is just unplayable in poe2, but its just one of the many untested features in the game.

Holy @#$%ing entitlement.

Tencent is developing the game?
Tencent has provided working capital.
That's "money" in laymans terms.

In my 30 year long career in Software Dev, I have never ever ever seen a pile of money code or debug any piece of software.

Tencent money is not doing the work.
The work is being done by a small team of developers, who (I again stress) are human and (I again stress) are deserving of HUMAN things like time off.

Their GAME (again I stress) is not mission critical.
Your hurt feelings about their game is not mission critical.

You are not entitled to deny other people their well deserved time off because you have strong feelings about a game.

Give me the pile of money and I will personally train it to debug code.... I wil not disapear with it.. you can be sure of it.

If I did this at my company and release a major piece of software and then just go AFK for a month I would definitely get in trouble.

We have a no release policy during the holidays for a reason :)

But you realize their release was delayed.. twice this year. And in several countries you need to schedule the vacations 1 year ahead? And the employer CANNOT change it without paying huge fines? It is quite possible they were overconfident in the middle year date and allowed almost all team to schedule for christmas.

If you don't want to fix and patch a game in a timely manner don't release a paid EA game. They chose the date to release after delaying a month to supposedly fix MTX; which they didn't do.

No, they literally delayed because they ran into issues with the account migration required for PoE2. WTF are you even talking about? They never said anything about it having anything to do with MTX
Regardless of all this, let's just admit that the timing for this situation is awful. A live service in beta testing needs monitoring, especially at the start.
My biggest concern at this stage being about account hacks that were reported. This is the kind of problems that not only affect the game but can lead to major security issues on player's PC, wich is concerning to say the least.
The comments that the Devs deserve their time off, and in fact are probably legally entitled to it given where GGG is based is correct. That being said there are so so many issues with this game that need to be fixed. They probably should have delayed quite a bit more and done a few more closed betas.
To all the people telling me to "go f myself";

I didn't ask for a brand new 100% fair, balanced and tested game.

I asked for GGG to at the very least take the time to make a written statement about the thoughts and plans going forward, to address the 250.000 people that already quit, and the many that are close to quitting it.

Trade is broken, drops are broken, the economy is broken, armor + melee, which they proudly and explicitly said was FIXED before release is completely broken.
Btw, I prefer to play melee. My main reason for buying it was to play warrior melee.
Not some ES cheat hybrid. If I wanted that I'd play sorcerer.

So YES I know it's early access.
YES I know people have holidays over xmas. I live in Norway. We aren't "slaves 52 weeks a year" which some morons claim. But we also respect paying customers not to release a broken product and say absolutely nothing for three weeks.
How many weeks do YOU want GGG to have off? 4? 5? 10?

It would take one person half an hour to write a bit of a response and give us a rough roadmap. And a rough time schedule.

That is called basic respect for paying customers.

Of course it is, that's exactly what it is. Not for the players, obviously, but for the creators. If you treat your job as a joke that you can leave for few weeks just like that because 'holidays', then I hope you're not a therapist, lawyer, or developer of a product that recently released.

Therapists and Lawyers operate in realms where their jobs affect the health and lives of their clients.

Very few Software Devs have those kinds of responsibility.
Maybe if it's software for a banking system.
Maybe if it's software for a mission critical system like Airport traffic control.
Maybe then the company providing that software will have teams on standby to achieve 99.99999% uptime because these are mission critical and lives can be lost.

You mean to say that a GAME is mission critical to require 99.99999% uptime?

Seriously?

You have no clue how industry or companies work.
He isn't stating it's in any way vital that it works.
He is stating that it is unprofessional to release a product right before xmas while the trade, economy, and huge exploits are ruining the game, alongside a giant load of other things, and they can't even be bothered to make a statement about it.

Frankly, this reminds me more of a single developer hyping a game for years, making a half assed sh*t producted and releasing it, cashing in 20 some millions, and then f'ing off never to be seen again.

Are you trying to tell me that in a company with 110 employees, not a single one of them could be bothered to take time to write a tiny roadmap or statement about the game going forward for three full weeks?
Don't ever try to run a company or go into management if that is the case.

ALL responsibility doesn't stop at "life or death" buddy.
Most of the world revolves around other things, and those have responsibility too.
But MUH ECONOMIES in an EA game where nothing will carry forward into the full release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
